News - 7.1 Solomons Earthquake Sunday, April 11, 2010

Just so happens we're in the midst of another CME (coronal mass ejection) and that today and tomorrow is when the brunt of the solar wind is being recieved by the Earth... not coincidental.

Neither is the quake in Spain. Pay attention to the sun.

"No reports of serious damage after big Solomons’ quake

The Solomon Islands Disaster Management Office says there is little reported damage from a large earthquake last night.

The quake, which struck at a depth of 60 kilometres, about 100 kilometres southwest of Makira, was initially rated as magnitude 7.5 but later downgraded to 6.8.

The Office’s director Loti Yates says information gathered so far from local officials and police in the region indicates little impact from the quake.

“The areas we’ve contacted so far, I think that one school confirmed that a dormitory was damaged. Apart from that, confirmation of the quake [ it was ] quite big but no confirmed casualties or damage etcetera”
Loti Yates says they’re just waiting on reports to filter in from smaller, remote communities about the earthquake’s impact
