This will certainly provide a platform for those that wish to speak up.

Not sure of the details yet - more to follow.

Link?

I know Kerry Cassidy (projectcamelot) has a upcoming interview with Janis Sharp (Gary McKinnon's mother). She has been a strong voice in her son's legal battle. Also some famous musicians have joined the cause in the UK.
(Among others the guitarist from Pink Floyd).

Thanks

External News Article (BBC)

The mother of computer hacker Gary McKinnon intends to stand in Jack Straw's Blackburn constituency as an independent candidate in the election. Mr McKinnon, 44, from Wood Green, north London, is accused of breaking into the US military computer system. The man, who has Asperger's syndrome, said he was seeking evidence of UFOs. Janis Sharp said she blamed Jack Straw for pushing through the extradition treaty with the US, under which her son could be sent to face trial. The computer systems which Mr McKinnon is accused of breaking into include those at the Pentagon. If convicted, he faces 60 years in prison. His lawyers and family have fought a series of long-running court battles in an attempt to avoid extradition. The judicial review into Mr McKinnon's possible extradition will be heard at the High Court at the end of May.

My bad

Anyway It seems like Gary's trial is at the end of May (I wish him the best of luck) as well and Jack straw (whom Janis is challenging) was the one who really stood out in trying to get him extradited.

Hmmm... I wonder. If he gets convincted and she get elected, does that make his conviction a diplomatic immunity problem?
