Obama's poll numbers?

So how does Obama rate so far in approval compared to other Presidents?
Take a look, see for yourself, draw your own conclusions.
ATS members, conservatives and Tea Partiers like to pretend their is some huge upswell of dislike for Obama, but where is it in the numbers.
If you feel you must post that polls are fake, etc, go ahead, but this post is aimed at members that actually think and know history and politics, not to generate a pro/anti Obama BS fest.

Doesn't look bad at all, looks pretty normal.
Take a look at both Bush1&2, and ST. Reagan.
Obama has quite a ways to sink before he gets that low.
BUT, as you say, time will tell. Who knows?

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Friday shows that 29% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as President. Forty-three percent (43%) Strongly Disapprove giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -14.

On the morning that the health care legislation passed, the President’s Approval Index rating was at -16. Last Friday, just before the announcement of the largest net job creation figures in three years, the President’s Approval Index rating was at -10.

Fifty-five percent (55%) of U.S. voters oppose President Obama’s new policy prohibiting the use of nuclear weapons in response to chemical or biological attacks on the United States.

Fifty-three percent (53%) oppose a reduction in the in the U.S. nuclear weapons arsenal. The president signed a treaty yesterday with Russian President Dmitri Medvedev pledging a near one-third reduction in the nuclear weapons arsenals of both countries.



He ain't looking to good really.... and it is gonna get worse for this guy... hopefully he is only a one termer...

there are no dumb conservatives.... only people that think, are conservatives.... they do not blindly follow the annointed one or get that tingle running up the leg when he speaks.... we tend to think a tad more than some folks do...

also, not all lieberals are dumb either...

Oh yes -- because comparing a President's approval rating after

one year

is exactly the same as comparing to Presidents that served

4 and 8 - year terms.

You cannot compare apples to oranges.

If you want to compare approval numbers, look at what each President's approval rating was after year one or use these numbers again in 2012.

Perhaps you will get similar results, but at least you will be comparing ratings over a similar time period.

Also, I wonder why you didn't include the picture graphs?!

What did you expect? The People who have had their eyes opened to what is going on in our country... There is just no going back. I can't pretend this guy is doing a good Job or I like him personally anymore, to keep the peace.

It is reasonable to assume that you started this thread to make a point, not to merely say "here are some numbers that don't matter now".

Your source could have been anything and my reply would remain the same. You are not comparing equal measurements.

So you are basically looking at how many republicans are holding the party line vs how many democrats are holding the party line.


Be honest with yourself...look at all the numbers...not just the one that helps push your agenda.

Rasmussen does this because he has an agenda to push...otherwise he wouldn't get invited to Fox News all the time. He releases this table knowing that people like you will push these agenda numbers to make things look worse than they are...but look at the TOTAL numbers. The index really isn't -14....it is -4....but that doesn't really help your personal anti-Obama agenda...so you will WILLINGLY IGNORE DATA AND ACCEPT IGNORANCE...just to try to push your agenda a little further.


Look at the average of the polls HERE

I know it isn't good for your agenda...but the average index is a +0.8.

Now...can you be honest with yourself and come here and admit that you are intentionally trying to distort facts to push your agenda? Or are you going to say the numbers I have posted are false?

I think you need to get out more, get off the web.
The real world is quite different than an insular world of internet "alternative' sites.
Too many people here just REJECT "MSM", and accept "alternative" info. It's a knee jerk reaction, not informative or intelligent.

I think they are biased, that's why an average of all polls is more meaningful.
So, pick a day. JUST that day is meaningful. Polls vary greatly, depending on events. Take a look at Bush 2's number and tell me different.
