Great documentary. I've had this on DVD for years.

I can remember being a kid and I watched this for the first time. And the scene where the guy shows up at his house and is clearly in rough shape. He felt John was always singing to him in his songs. John takes him in, feeds him and gives him a pocket full of cash before sending him on his way. A very classy move.

John was always close with his fans and despised the image the Beatles had in the 60's that they were distant from their fans. It was for safety reasons obviously and the guys really didn't have a say in it.
