Plus if they were truly in al-Qaeda in the first place, they wouldn't have been released.

Huh?

You cannot have your cake and eat it too.
Those like you believe Gitmo should be closed because most of them are innocent right?

Bush , Cheney and Rumsfield all deserve Congressional medal of honors for their service to this country.

Posthumously, i presume.

"Innocent until proven guilty" literally means anyone not proven guilty is innocent. It used to be one of those pre-9/11 "justice" & "rule of law" virtues that was supposed to separate the united states from banana republics & fiefdoms.. Rogue nations where a few elitists gather in secret to decide who they want occupied, arrested, jailed, tortured, detained, or killed with no regard to rights, evidence, due process or laws... these sociopaths have zero empathy for their fellow man, and simply laugh at concerns voiced by the unsophisticated unwashed masses they lord over.

We all know the prisoners were innocent, that's why they never saw the inside of courtrooms, we all also know bush is a war criminal, lets hope he does see the inside of a court room wearing an orange jumpsuit along with his superiors and cronies.

Great story

A 3 trillion dollar war and no cries for impeachment

This is why they were torturing people and using methods that were known to illicit false confessions. They needed those false confessions to legitimize an illegal war.

While most people already know this information, what many are missing here is that this came from a Colin Powel aid, so this is Powell's revenge for Dick Cheney talking bad about him in his memoir. Rice is also coming out against Dick Cheney. This is the Bush neocons collapsing into themselves because each is putting the blame on another so they look like the innocent one.

Enjoy this, it's a sign the elite are falling apart.

Yes, it's interesting how social drama is so ubiquitous, it will even be the downfall of the "elites."
