And tonight she is having another party. Pressure up and thermals red. Just seen a good photo from my friend there and a small lava fountain is present.
Update soon.

I've been waiting to try to get some pics but the cloud cover just isn't in my favor. A little EQ just a few minutes ago - nothing too big - but her 'unrest' is growing.

Are we looking at the build up for the first 'big one' this year? We're watchin!

Thank you as always Tzavros!

Hi
The Bocca Nuova is very active at the moment it is on its 6th or 7th eruptive episode in one month. There was another during the night. Will be watching.

And She's being so quiet about it - not a peep I can hear from here - and I've yet to 'see' it either - Very frustraiting.
Thank you for keeping our fingers on her pulse!

Again . . . appreciate your courageous coverage.

Still concerned for your safety.

Doesn't seem quite like a Sonday walk in the park safe thing, to me.

0522 - 'ash' hitting the rooftop - big ash!

Off for more pics -

Added note: Never have I seen two massive 'holes/mouths' erupting at once!

Don't be getting hurt when you are taking those pictures. If you get hurt we won't get any updates.

The ash is devastating. Trashed an umbrella in a second flat.
Can’t get closer for more pics - the ash is just raining too hard and pieces too big.
Anyone got a pith helmet? Doesn’t matter - helm or no I’m back out in a few for more pics - just here to give an update.

That huge dark 'V' in the middle? That's all the ash pouring out - copious amounts. Not as big as the last time but unrelenting in the volume.

I know the quality isn’t great - but I blew this up so you could see the ‘output’ from the new crater formed last year (pics of it’s birth in this thread), the eruption behind and then what? Another new ‘mouth’ on the right? Or is this the main crater? I’m not sure can’t tell yet.

Thanks Byrd - it is a little buts to be out there under all of that - and smelling gas (this time) - but I can’t resist. And no, that isn’t courage, that’s stupidity. But I love Etna. I just do. I have that naive and 'head in the sand' opinion ‘She wont’ hurt me’. LOL.

This shot is exactly opposite the volcano.

Yes, there are clouds, but that mass of dark? That’s the ash fallout right overtop of me (poor animals and plants) making it’s way out over the sea.

Above is a pic from earlier - one I didn’t have time to resize and post at the time.

Obviously a handful of ‘fallout’.

Now time for clean-up!

She’s still putting out lava and ash but much quieter about it.

Eyes open here.
