Mt. Etna Eruption ~ Local Coverage (latest event: Feb. 19 0500 local time! )

Eruption has started. Cannot put the data images up as I am at work. Will post them later. Not too bad at the moment, throwing ash and plumb has just started.

I would get to the cameras now. I can't post the images as I can't log into the files section, but it looks spectacula. Silo, just checking if you are watching?

She's ugly today.

I hope someone can get to the webcams.
She's blowing hard.
I can see lava in the daytime - and that is big news.
Ground shaking still - from her 'booms'

Wow!
Stats are going up still. At the moment the plumb is not as high as the last time but She hasn't peeked yet.
I have some very interesting stuff from monitoring last night, it will take me a couple of days to put it together, but it will add to Her amazement factor.
She hasn't gone in the day for a while.

Have you seen the people watching on Cam 6?

RadioStudio7 has a broken camera (?) but here's a shot from a bit ago - again - sorry it's so awful but I'm running like crazy in between here... See all that tephra? One little gust a wind and that's onto of me and my animals so I'm making sure they're all set. Which isn't an easy thing to do - they never want to 'go in' when there's an eruption.

Yes, I'm seeing lava 'color' under the clouds of ash and grit.
It must be a lot to be able to see it like this on a sunny day.
My camera will barely pick it up though.
I lost cams too.

I wasn't going to add this one - but the white like claws coming down the mountainside made up my mind to do so.
