Holy Cow! I just came in to post the very same!
She is BOOMING big time!
I can't see her because of cloud cover but I sure as heck can hear Her and she sounds EXCITED!!!

I can't wait until I can record this!!!

No this isn't one of her largest, but I'm telling ya it's Her loudest!
She's got a voice that just will not quit this time!
And, She's still at it so as soon as the sun drops a bit I hope to get more pics but for now from this angle it's pretty much impossible, but a few are better than nothing!

Ya know, I'm really going to have to get myself a professional camera.
Half the mountain is red aglow with lava.

Sorry to say until morning when I've got some natural light/dark I can't pass on any photos.

I did hear on the news that FONTANAROSSA, aeroporto chiuso - the airport is closed. Not due to ash in the sky but all the 'rain-ahhh' (phonetic spelling) = sand, that's falling all over the area. It's black and sharp and dritty and slippery as ice.

So there ya go!

From the description i dont think this does it justice,,, but it does show,, glass type particulate.

I think it is abundantly clear now, that this volcano is a girl. You can all stop referring to IT as "she".

I thinnk it is in very poor taste to describe a blowing volcano which is threatening the lives of countless
thousands as "beautiful".
That is like calling a tsunami beautiful as it threatens to wipe out an entire country.
