Ans She is just ROCKIN' and ROLLIN'!
The BOOMs are incredible!

I'll keep you posted as soon as I can get photos! Not that I can promise there will be any good ones, but, for all the noise She's making?

Wow, thanks so much for your photos ! There were a fair few smaller quakes last week your way and now this !

On a scale of 1-10 since you've lived there is this one of her larger burps? Be safe.

No this isn't one of her largest, but I'm telling ya it's Her loudest!
She's got a voice that just will not quit this time!
And, She's still at it so as soon as the sun drops a bit I hope to get more pics but for now from this angle it's pretty much impossible, but a few are better than nothing!

Thank you!

Ya know, I'm really going to have to get myself a professional camera.
Half the mountain is red aglow with lava.
Incredible.
Sorry to say until morning when I've got some natural light/dark I can't pass on any photos.
Get to those web-cams - She's beautiful and magnificent beyond compare this evening.
I'll see what I can do near morning.

I did hear on the news that FONTANAROSSA, aeroporto chiuso - the airport is closed. Not due to ash in the sky but all the 'rain-ahhh' (phonetic spelling) = sand, that's falling all over the area. It's black and sharp and dritty and slippery as ice.

So there ya go!

I think it is abundantly clear now, that this volcano is a girl. You can all stop referring to IT as "she".

I thinnk it is in very poor taste to describe a blowing volcano which is threatening the lives of countless
thousands as "beautiful".
That is like calling a tsunami beautiful as it threatens to wipe out an entire country.
Really????
I mean RREALLY???
is it REALLY beautiful?????
REALLY?!?!!?

I'll bet you the people who are actually living underneath the damn thing don't think it is "beautiful"!!!
Must be nice to see the beauty of this damn thing from the comfort of your own livingroom.
