ok in the interests of equality I thought I'd better start this thread off - am not bothering with a poll as why should I impose my narrow range on anyone?

like as in the 'one for the lads' thread I'd like to hear about the men you find attractive, admirable, enviable etc, regardless of your gender/sexuality.

mine would have to be (today anyhow)

henry rollins
eddie izzard (in or out of drag)
kevin smith (aka silent bob)
viggo mortensen (played aragorn in LOTR, also poet and artist)
eminem
bruce willis (it's just something about the vests....)

Ok, Henry Rollins? Is this the Black Flag incarnation or the "look at me I'm a game show show host" incarnation?
Eddie Izzard? Don't know alot about drag queens. my mother on the hand does (still can't decide if this should worry me or not, 53 year old alternative lifestyle junkie?
)
KEVIN SMITH??!! Yikes!! Smart... perhaps? Handsome.....NO!
Viggo... My wife drooled, my other woman friends drool and.... hell... his eyes make me a little woozy so.. OK I give ya that one.
Eminem.. the 21st century Elvis (bad boy doin black music) Ok he is a bad boy.. so I guess that is enough for alot o women. Being a 30 yr old, grad student and a bit (just a bit) of a geek, I ran from his type so not a fan

Bruce Willis? I duno, maybe. He does have an aura I suppose.

And you thought men would be afraid to post in a topic like this.

lol - I notice you didn't post any of your own though...

henry rollins - nothing to do with either incarnation (although must say prefer his spoken word to his music), I just appreciate a man of his intelligence

eddie izzard - one of my favourite comedians and just has a special 'something' about him

kevin smith - why not? I care about a bit more than a man's physique

viggo....... *wibble*

eminem - less of the bad (half of it is tongue in cheek anyhow) and more of the intelligence and inner drive

(btw I'm also 30, have an engineering degree, am also a bit of a geek)

bruce - totally inexplicable!

can't say I really have a type in a physical sense but I appreciate men who are articulate, intelligent, have a certain masculine sensitivity and a perverse sense of humour

Alright, I have no qualms about saying a man is attractive. I just don't think about it alot.

I'll give it a shot

Bono: Not that great looking but politically aware out the wazoo and has that mystery about him. That and I have practically worshiped him since I was 10.

Denzel Washington: Intelligent, a helluva actor and a nice looking to boot.

Matthew McConnahy: This one is more for my wife than me.. she says it is all in his Southern Drawl. I dunno

How about Rowan Atkins: only because I laugh til I feel like I'm gonna wet myself when I watch reruns of Mr. Bean or Black Adder.

Well, there are a few. Now you'll have me thinking about this all night and have all the guys on this board wondering about me to boot!!!

If those are your qualifications for an attractive guy... too bad I'm married and live on another continent cause that description fits me to a tee.

your courage is noted comrade

rowan - definitely a funny guy but never did it for me any other way. Although certainly looked better with a beard

Matthew - easily confused with Josh Lucas - who very much has the drawl... the eyes.... *wibbles more*

Bono - can understand why but not quite my cup of tea

denzel - likewise

To hell with all that!

I'd like a foursome with Bush, Cheney and Powell! All that power is such an aphrodisiac.

As a heterosexual male, comfortable with his own sexuality...and as an artist, it's easy to answer this, in terms of pure aesthetics.

First pick: Tom Cruise. Let's face it, he's a handsome guy...a bit short for most women though.

Second: Can't remember the name (my fiance' will never forgive me), but the guy who played the Maji leader in The Mummy movies, and also the gigalo who owned the fish in Duece Bigalo.

Third: I just hope I look half as good when I'm older...Sean Connery.

Why narrow things to the silver screen.

TAke our International sporting heroes.

F1

Michael Shumacher
Mark Webber
David Coulthard

Golf

Adam Scott
Tiger???

Tennis

LLeyton Hewit
Mark "The Scud" Phillapousis
Andre Agassi
Pistol Pete

Swimming

Ian Thorpe
Michael Klim

I could go on..Don't get me wrong, I strictly bat for the heterosexual team...married and all. But couldn't you girls widen your horizons to the international scene for your eye candy.

Chris
