Mind manipulation , your rights ?

If one could prove that a corporation was using , or used , some form of mind manipulation against you as a means to " make you buy " could they / should they , be held liable if such targeting lead to excessive debt ?

Is it ok for various entities to use forms of mind manipulation to provoke you into taking some action that benefits the entity using the M.M ?

If one was operating under some type of targeted M.M could one then plead temp insanity and not responsible for there actions ?

I would be very interested to learn what , if any , laws there might be on the books that protect people from M.M ?
