It is no surprise, I have known about that for a long time and I am just some podunk from New Mexico.

Maybe Israel should behave, so they don't get glass parkinglotted.

Why? Because you think the USA will give Turkey the other set of keys, and launch codes, and let them nuke their ally Israel?

Sure you knew. I bet your confused with the NATO sharing program with the weapons based at Incirlik air base.

Turkey is a NATO member. They actually have an F-16 FACTORY. They build block 50 falcons. They have about 240 of them. They are going to be purchasing about 150 f-35's pretty soon, and they have plans to build f-35's in country as well.

Turkey does not have an F16 factory. They have an F16 assembly line.
No, they do not build Block 50 F16's.
No they do not have 240 Block 50 F16's.
No they are not planning on buying 150 F35's.
No they are not planning on building F35's in Turkey.

Stop posting crap and nonsense.

They have KC-135's. AWACS, and a pretty serious airlift capability.

They have 7 KC135's because of the size of the country.
No, they do not have AWACS. Their AWACS are delayed for the last 4 years at least, and still going.

Serious airlift capability?

13 C130
20 C160
50 CN235

These aren't large transport aircraft by any means.

Sure they have a sizeable transport fleet, but then they have several hundred thousand troops and other forces.

If you want to talk about a serious airlift capability, look no further then those operating the C17 in large numbers..ie the USAF.

Everyone else pales in comparison.

Heck, I'd rank the RAF and RAAF ahead of the Turkish air force in terms of airlift capability. Both operate strategic transport aircraft such as the C17 Globemaster. Turkey does not.

Hell, they don't even have anything like an Orion flying.
Their AWACS will be delivered in 2011, barring any more delays.
Whereas Australian has 2 of it's 6 AWACS already.
