Tehran - Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast Tuesday lauded an upcoming Tehran conference as a new start for nuclear disarmament worldwide.

Iran is to host a two-day international conference on nuclear disarmament starting April 17.

'This conference will be a new campaign and Iran will be a front-runner in calling all nations to stop making nuclear arms,' Mehmanparast said.

Thanks for sharing.

This is simply another tactic that the Iranians have repeatedly used in the past: If you disarm all your nuclear weapons and stop making new nukes, we will do the same.

All countries apart of their brigade are non-nuclear parties anyhow, so what's the big deal including them (Turkmenistan, Cuba, Venezuela, Oman, and Syria).

Russia, China, UK, USA, etc are not going to give up the most powerful weapon on the planet ... so why does the Iranian government waste their breath with such statements? Media attention perhaps? Perhaps.
