Israeli fighter jets have attacked central and eastern Gaza Strip following Tel Aviv's threats of a fresh round of strikes on the blockaded sliver.

The Sunday raids targeted al-Maghazi near the Gaza City and al-Qarara in the town of Khan Younis.

The locals reported an increase in Israeli military presence in the coastal sliver over the past two weeks, the Palestinian Ma'an news agency reported

www.presstv.com...

perhaps a mmilitary build up is underway for preperation of a 2nd invasion of the gaza strip... anyone else have on the ground eyewitness reports of this? "Israel's Deputy Prime Minister Silvan Shalom said Friday that a military operation was brewing in response to alleged rocket attacks from Gaza..."

i wouldnt completly rule out jordan getting involve, from a diplomatic point of view, if everyone in the arab world were to join and jordan did not, it would hurt their standing in the arab world. im not saying that most the arab world would join against israel in this day and age but it has happened in the very near past. I think at the most you would see hezbollah and lebanon, syria, palestinians on both sides, Iran, Iraqi and yemeni #e militias and maybe some froeign islamic jihadists.

Well what an all 'round slap in the face to the US this is all turning out to be. They need destability to attack Iran with better outcomes, during and after.

King Abdullah of Jordan has joined the Arab world’s saber-rattling against Israel and warned that the status of Jerusalem could blow up into another war. In an interview with the Wall Street Journal, he also stated that Jordan was better off economically before it made peace with Israel in 1994.

The king also maintained that “Jerusalem specifically engagesJordan because we are the custodians of the Muslim and Christian holy places and this is a flashpoint that goes beyond Jordanian-Israeli relations.” Neither King Abdullah nor the interviewer noted that Jordan denied Jews and Christians access to holy sites when it was really an occupier of part of Jerusalem, including the Old City, Temple Mount and Western Wall, between 1949 and 1967. This was a result of its successful battle against the beleagured young state of Israel. Jerusalem was not part of the land allotted to Jordan.

“The political trust is gone,” he said. “There is no real economic relationship between Jordan and Israel. So economically we were better off in trade and in movement before my father signed the peace treaty.”

If the rest of the middle east unites against Israel, that would make the possibility of any improvement in the situation in Iraq pretty much impossible.
