Feel like I'm getting soft...geez...

Here's an old song that I heard first back in the Seventies. I only heard it a few times, but for some reason it has been stuck in my head for about thirty years, so I decided to track it down the other night and it's still as compelling to me as it was long ago, which can't always be said for the old songs.

If you don't know Hoyt Axton here's some background on him:

I don't even like rap much at all but this song is seriously amazing!

It's almost like a paralytic listening to this song--how the memories wash over you. A moment in time, etched and frozen; alive.

Whoa, Haven't heard this song in a loooooooooooonng time.

Jack White is a genius! This is latest brainchild, The Dead Weather. It's like the White Stripes in reverse with Jack on drums and a chic singer. This cd is awesome from start to finish. Blues, Jazz, Funk, pure chaos and deliously dark! Yum!
