That was outstanding! Thanks for sharing. I wish there was some way to tell scale. It looks like you can really see the surface of the moon.

Do you have any recommendations for equipment? I would love to be able to do something similar.

Also, because we are on ATS, I see what looks a little like the shape of a hand in the lower left of the screen around 1:30. Pretty cool!

If you could do this with amateur camera and telescope, why aren't there videos of Moon done by professional equipment?

And only of lately we can see (like we are "allowed" to see) that there are colors on the Moon

Thanks Sibilance!,

its hard to tell what is the scale, i have read some books and put some info in this video landing sites etc.. u need to put it full screen to see the letters!

"Do you have any recommendations for equipment"
Well i have a Celestron Nexstar 8"SE with some good eyepieces, this scope has very good optics and easy to setup, this is my setup

That's also for me the one million dollar question

I have been to kennedy space center in florida and watched the rocket inside, but my question is where did they put the Moon car in?
If somebody know pls let me know!

You asked where they stowed the LRV? (Lunar Rover).

The aluminum chassis was divided into three sections that supported all equipment and systems. The forward and aft sections fold over the centre one for stowage in the LM.

www.astronautix.com...

It FOLDED for storage, in compartment built into the Descent Module of the LM.

This is easy to research, actually...but, I knew it already, since I am a fan of anything related to aerospace.

Here's a slightly sped-up video....rather poor quality, but there are probably better copies out there...

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Ah....I looked, and found better quality. Again, it has been sped-up, in order to be less boring ---
In this vid, the first TWO minutes (or so) are of camera set-up....again, it is fast-forwarded, probably by the person who posted on YouTube...
