www.msnbc.msn.com...

Watch the video all the way through. It states that you are required to buy health insurance or pay a tax at the end of the year, BUT they will not enforce that tax. But the government does not want you to know that because if you knew that you would not buy health insurance or pay the fine.

I think they want you to believe this. You trust that they wont enforce this? I would trust Obama before I trusted that. They will probably wait, and hope that nobody pays, so that they can have a reason to do what we all know they want to do. Obama thugs at work.

It will be completely voluntary.

Just like income taxes.

A Tax mandate with no bite?

The penalty applies to any period the individual does not maintain minimum essential coverage and is determined monthly. The penalty is assessed through the Code and accounted for as an additional amount of Federal tax owed. However, it is not subject to the enforcement provisions of subtitle F of the Code.68 The use of liens and seizures otherwise authorized for collection of taxes does not apply to the collection of this penalty. Non-compliance with the personal responsibility requirement to have health coverage is not subject to criminal or civil penalties under the Code and interest does not accrue for failure to pay such assessments in a timely manner.

Nope, not at all, and the 16,000 new IRS agents mandated in this bill are just a stunt, not really seriously for enforcement of this.

Your not forced to buy health insurance, but at the end of the year if you don't have any you'll learn first hand how much more you now owe the IRS.

Don't pay that either if you wish, then you can watch the penalties and interest add to it... and eventually they will show up to collect your delinquent taxes, don't pay then, you'll be arrested, then you'll have court costs and legal expenses fines and more... Jail time!

Where you will get free health care, and free meals, and a free bed... The only cost to you then... Your freedom.

Not a bad deal eh?

Oh and feel free to test the above when this is implemented.

Prove it wrong and come back here, let us know how it worked out for you.

Oh come now... you all know how they play these things...

They pass draconian legislation that in actuality DOES nothing, except for creating the legal framework for later use...

Then, a few years down the road, when everyone has forgotten about it, they write a tiny bill that changes section A subsection r14 paragraph 12 sub paragraph b, third word from: "Will Not" to "Are required to"

Just check out some of Bush's presidential signing statements...

They changed ONE word, and completely changed the MEANING of the 1973 arms control export act...

The BILL is the framework that they can "Tweak" later with signing statements and executive orders.

Your comment was so true that it made me lol.

The only reason that they want everyone to buy health insurance is to get the healthy people to pay for the unhealthy people of which the government has taken the responsibility to take care. If they had left it alone in the first place, health care would be cheaper and better. Insurance companies would be entirely unnecessary in a free market.

This is a cuffing ponzi scheme.

The actual health care part of this monstrous bill is only a thinly veiled bail out for the insurance companies. It adds 32 million new paying customers.
The rest of the bill will have to play out to know what the true implications are.

When dealing with the government it's always cheaper to give them what they want. They are the law and outside the ballot box you can't win against them.
