so, my governor decides to step down, along with the rest of this "illegal corporate government", umm...who's there to run the show, are are we just inviting chaos to rule?
I am always hearing how bush and obama were just following the hitler guidebook, doing much the same as he did to get the power he eventually had....but, well, just wondering here....
did he also do something like this??
I'm not that fond of our current government at the moment, but well....I am not willing to exchange it for a far right wing theocracy or a insane dictatorship.

and, I think I brought this up a year or two ago...
I raised the question, were they just making our govenrment and constitution out to be just so inadequate that we would be willing to lay it aside for "something better".

Thanx for sharing this information. Out of all I was unaware of his connection with the terrorist organisation MEK. However, here is some additional information. Dick Armey and his front organisation Freedom Works is also part of core of Israeli Lobby group that rules Washington DC. Some of his comments such as:

Rep. Dick Armey Calls for Ethnic Cleansing of Palestinians

You will find more information about him in this book The Israel Lobby by John Mearsheimer and Stephen Walt.

Dick Armey, who said in September 2002: ‘My No. 1 priority in foreign policy is to protect Israel.’ One might think that the No. 1 priority for any congressman would be to protect America but Dick is more concerned with a foreign country than USA.

He was also one of the major supporter for Iraq War on behalf of Israel

On 16 August 2002, 11 days before Dick Cheney kicked off the campaign for war with a hardline speech to the Veterans of Foreign Wars, the Washington Post reported that ‘Israel is urging US officials not to delay a military strike against Iraq’s Saddam Hussein.’
.

This Israeli puppet also former House Majority Leader Dick Armey – avoided the draft and calls himself concerned for USA.

Hey dave,

Ive been a member for awhile and have seen your opinions change... as have mine but thats not all that important... We get older and our views change....

As to this thread... I am a "moderate" liberal... I have seen the tea party movement be exploited and used for political gain for the past year... dick is truely that... just a dick and I wish conservatives would comment on this and you and i both know that they won't... The republican party is politically dead after the bush years and will do anything to make a comeback... I dunno.... good thread tho....

What's in a name?

Dick Army...

If anything, the Tea Party should choose their own representatives on a local level that then become the speakers for the entire movement. If one of them messes up, pull them out of their position and replace him/her.
Single leadership leads to easy demonization, discrediting or in case of it actually working, a deathly accident or 'fringe lunatic assasination'...

Central leadership doesn't work imo... spread it around, and stay focused.

Actually, for all that hours and months of anger, angst, and BS, would it not have been better put to better use to help fellow Americans out of the predicament all are in right now?

The problem facing Americans right now is jobs and debts. There is a need to find solutions to it. If these ‘party-goers’ insist on not doing an honest day’s job, but to take to the streets and demonize and demoralize everyone else who is working hard, they should at least sit around a table and toss ideas for solutions pragmatically instead.

It’s perfectly legal and a right for peaceful protests, but despite their calls for revolution and whatnots, blaming this or that other person, do they even have any credible plans in place once their revolution has succeeded, or is it another attempt to lead US further deeper into chaos?

But nevermind. Guess those of us who are more aware will just have to work harder, and things certainly are looking up on the economic front, thanks to the millions of employed Americans and employers finally or attempting to correct mistakes and get things going.

At least we can still peacefully wait till November to boot out those representatives who had failed Americans today.

Cheers and good luck to all! :-)

You have wrapped up my feelings exactly.

I tend to lean more on the conservative side of things and it was really upsetting to see the left movement trying to demonize the tea party but then I started paying attention to what Fox news, Hannity and the rest were saying about it and it hit me like a ton of bricks.

The Tea Party is just a tool for all of these idiots to use to their own ends however, I do think there are awesome people involved in it that really do want a Constitutional Government but they are now the ones who have no voice thanks to the talking heads and political strategists who are using them.

I will vote against all incumbents because one term is enough for everyone in Washington and i'm convinced that is the only true way to stop the B.S.

Your observations are spot on, but your end conclusion is off the mark.

The TPM was indeed " a mishmash of political ideologies who one main commonality was that they were dismayed with both parties". They still are.

Many factions outside the TPM want to diminish them, to join with them, to call them their own idea. But as much as they want to, and as much as there are instances of the left or the right affecting them, in essence the TPM is still a grassroots movement that are dismayed with both parties. No political party can claim ownership of the TPM. No man can claim to be their leader or spokesman. They are truly independent, and that is what dismays TPTB.
