Mass murder promoting Fox News, the network that was instrumental in pushing lies about weapons of mass destruction that resulted in the deaths of over a million innocent people, is so concerned about violent comments on the Internet that it employs teams of people to trawl through anti-establishment websites like Infowars.com looking for reasons to report Alex Jones to the authorities.

Infowars I know, and they misspelled the word assassination, but this is a very interesting article nonetheless

I wonder what the take ATSers have on this. It would seem that the content in the article is factual, as it mostly contains quotes from fox news with corresponding sources and video. Perhaps we should explore this further.

Well I pretty much agree though I do think he just did an awesome job with Anderson Cooper and CNN.

Sometimes I think AJ is sincere but sometimes comes off too passionate and emotional and kills his momentum.

Didn't someone hold Alex Jones talk show for a day or two while AJ was gone doing something? Then the guy doing a favor for AJ by hosting is radio show gets a call from AJ's wife b*tching because he wasn't promoting AJ's DVD's and weren't selling enough?

Maybe someone else remembers more than me.

SKY News is FoxNews.

What this is about is intolerant people who are so radical they want to deny speech to anyone not in accord with them and their beliefs. Both sides do it.

Right now for some odd reason the Left is pissed off that they won? Go figure? Winning was not enough, they want to destroy anyone who did not agree with them.

The truly odd part of all of this is that Prison Planet is one of the most vocal opponents of Obama. This speaks to credibility. Prison Planet is far more incendiary than FoxNews.

Me, not caring for the extremists on either side, I have this device called a remote control for my TV and the ability to decide what is on my screen in my Browser. I don't want to control anyone's speech or any of the media. Obviously many people do want to deny speech or a free media and force their ideas on everyone. I just consider the source.

Jones even made a damning documentary about Obama. I don't see anyone on Prison Planet criticizing him for a Documentary that may well have incited violence, not to mention Jones is very angry and violent in actions himself. It's about selling books, tapes and attracting donations. That is the truth. Jones and his minions are Whores for whichever viewpoint will sell.

Do i believe Alex? Hell yea. But the time has come for him to slow down.
Some of his guests have left the country, i understand, amidst gun fire..

Alex Jones , may be a sensationalist,

He reminds me of the style of the old Baptist Preachers.

He is abrasive, very passionate and very OTT a lot of the time.

I take a lot of what is reported there as needing a slight pinch of salt.

But do you know what I admire about him.

He actually walks the walk, not just talks the talk. It seems all those who knock him, just talk the talk.

Alex if wrong or misguided about many things has courage in his convictions, and truly does seem to be a Real American, as in he would imho fight tooth and nail for his countries values, freedom and good attributes.

He faces the faces he reports on face to face, he gets out and goes to the protests, he actually does something.

He might have a lot of hot air, but at least he is trying to steer the balloon it goes into to, rather than evaporating out of the windows of those who type about him, and never write a letter, never go a protest, or don’t have the courage to openly face those they call TPTB.

How many of the callers and commenters were democrat operatives like the ones that used to go to Sarah Palin rallies and yell death threats and racial slurs to try to discredit Palin? They do it all the time, it's called theater. They play the people and divide the nation.

The people are upset. But they will go to the ballot box to vent that anger. All of the hoopla is from the democrats in order to save their base. I get emails from Obama, and the democrats every day, sometimes several times a day painting the Repubs as radical racist things, and T Party members and red neck gun toting Christian militia types bent on war. It's all lies and propaganda. Don't buy this bill of goods. No one believes it now, and no one will believe it in November.

I believe SKY news is the sister network of FOX, or Faux as I like to call it. Or at least I heard one of their anchors say once that they were their UK equivalents. But in essence yes. They are about as right wing as MSNBC is liberal, except almost everyone on Faux is stupid or likes money very much. And that makes them damn near dangerous.

I personally like to listen to BBC world news on my way to school and Democracy Now!.

Ahhhh, gone are the days of Ted Koppel and Tim Russert... now that was journalism.

While I agree that no one deserves death threats or racial slurs, I think we could all agree that Sarah Palin is an idiot. Please tell your Conservative friends not to elect her as leader because if by some miracle she is elected, she'll make W. look like Einstein.

Rupert Murdoch owns News Corporation, and therefore most of the worlds press, besides a small country in the middle east.

He actually has, placed people in governments as if all the papers in a country and news are negative or positive it swings the vote.

he is one of the most powerful men in the world, and is starting to roll out Sky in China...

He is also a Known Meglamaniac, very strange political views, that being that he does not care will sleep with a communist today, and fascist tommorrow, whichever one helps him make more money.

This is very scarey as like your question most people have no idea, and many people get their political, and national info and identity from newspapers and the TV.

Murdoch creates the reality in many counries that are most of the peoples belief systems.

He seems to have a real knack for being able to always have the best selling paper in a country that is always for the lower class or working class.

How he goes in the UK over the next few weeks will probably the one diciding factor on a Hung parliment or Labour loss or winning.

I really could go on and on, but would need x2 posts to just list his magazines, newspapers , radio, and TV without other interests.

As said one the most important men in thw world, who has been knonw to sack and threaten Editors if they wont run a story he wants on the front page of a nations breakfast table, and news TV.

He really does shape as said the beliefs, likes, dislikes, actions of a large part of the worlds population.

His very very aggressive roads into China with no worries on not showing any content to annoy the Chinese leaders, like Tibet or the Uprising, as long as he gets more subscribers. Once he has a generation of 1/3 of the world who are not that used to TV, how he will shape that country, and therefore the world really worries me.

You really have to make yourself aware of this guy, and anyone saying MSM and not knowing about him is a hypocrite.

Ha ha. I thought the same thing. Though I doubt they pay nearly as well as the previous regime paid Fox and the Washington Times. I think they got by just doing "little favors" for Fred Hiatt, Jack Welch, and company.

Anyway, addressing the OP, I don't really have a horse in the race since I've little use for Alex Jones and even less use for Fox News. That said, it's extremely disingenuous to accuse Fox of "calling for Obama's assassination" based on hateful messages posted on their boards by hateful individuals who are not representative of Fox's entire viewing audience. There are enough reasons to dislike Fox (and CNN, and much of the rest of the MSM) without having to make things up.
