I wonder how much he is getting paid by Orly Taitz to abandon his post and duty like this?

History has a funny way of repeating itself...

Famous WWII icon Douglas MacArthur was the general in charge of troops during the Korean War during the early 1950's. He (very publicly) disagreed with then President Harry S. Truman about how to handle the situation. MacArthur saw the US/ S. Korean troops advancement into Northern Korea a success and wanted to further the war by taking out Communism in mainland China at the same time. MacArthur wanted to hit two birds with one stone (Communism in Korea and the newly established People's Republic of China) and further the U.S. idea of containing Communism to just the Soviet Union. Truman on the other hand wanted to pursue peace and diplomacy and end the war. MacArthur thought Truman was a fool and very vocally expressed his feelings.

MacArthur was rather quickly removed of duty and sent back home for defying the Commander and Chief of the Armed Forces. Granted, his great popularity with the American people had him welcomed home with much applause, but nonetheless he was found to have been insubordinate to his boss.

I fear that this LTC will find himself in a similar situation wherein he will be discharged from his command post and sent back home to the States.

Why does history always repeat itself with the same situations? (rhetorical)

-Sliadon

Edit to clarify for people that can not make inferences from Historical accounts:

The LTC in question by refusing to do his job by trying to prove a point is in defiance of an order from his boss, the President. While it is one thing to not like your boss, one can not publicly run their mouth about them without risk of reprisals. Not going into a debate of whether or not the LTC is justified in his objections, just stating how this would be viewed in a military tribunal. Just as you could be fired for telling your boss what a (insert phrase for the boss you have had in the past which you loathed) that you thought they were, this fellow faces the same situation. Except I would take the firing over the actions a military tribunal might take against me.

True, our presidents eligibility to BE president has not been 100% disproved.....I would like to point out that it has also not been 100% Proved, either......Just because the courts toss case after case all they are saying is You do not have the right to ask this question.

Last time I checked, eligibility to be president and Commander in Chief of the military is not to be done based on "reasonable doubt" or the lack thereof. Unless he Does have something to hide, why has he not provided a full, legal certificate of birth? It should be a simple matter, really. "What? you wanna see what? Oh ok, here ya go...." Instead he has done the opposite, and refused based on the grounds that he is the president, and not subject to such scrutiny.

At this point I have to ask the age old question...... Does Fuzzy Logic tickle?

Seriously... let's just pretend for a second that Obama is not eligible to be President, how much effort do you think he and the people backing him would go through to quell the questioning?

And then let's pretend for a second that he is eligible to be President, how much more evidence would be publicly available to absolutely and completely refute, beyond any question - to the extent that anyone who did question their orders for deployment would be prosecuted under the UCMJ.

Now compare that to how many times the government has told you the truth about everything else... lately.

Who's gullible?

Either way, we seem to have found our way to having to question the very basis of what is Legal, what is Lawful, and what is Constitutional.

And there are still those who say, "Oh but wait.. the government says..."

Scientists say...

The Bible says...

Simon says...

How about... My conscience says...?

Oh no! Can't have that now can we?

"Your job is to go bomb that Afghani village... " But...
"No Buts..."

Is that what you really want? Heh. Or is that what you just really want for everyone else? Because, eventually - someone is going to ask a question where your only defense is going to be, "Well... I was just following orders."

Actually it's an 80 year conspiracy, going back to 1933 and before that to Lincoln who installed a defacto illegitimate congress when quorum wasn't present. Read your history, then ask yourself if a lawyer who spends over a million dollars on other lawyers to quash the discovery of his birth and other records to keep them from the public domain is standing only on principle rather than shakey ground is legitimate. The man is a fraud and your the dupe, enjoy your socialist utopia while you've got it, it's going to be very short lived.

There is already precedent for this case. This officer won his case and his deployment orders were revoked. He also lost his private sector job.

www.ledger-enquirer.com...

Your statement is not exactly true. I read both of the sources that you provided and neither one of them stated that the case was won. They both stated that the deployment orders were revoked; there is a huge difference there.

The deployment orders could have been revoked for any reason. In fact, they could have revoked the orders simply because by the time the case went through, the unit would already be in deployed.

I really hope that they hit this Lt. Col with the full extent of the UMCJ just to make an example out of this officer. One poster stated that this officer is already a General in their book. Well I hope being a General in their book is good enough, because this officer will never see the rank of General in the real military.

Yes, this is the second person to do this. The first one went to court and Barry Soetoro rescinded the deployment orders rather than simply prove he had a long form birth certificate! lol He folded because he has no cards in his hand except a royal flush of deceit!

Obama won't show his long birth certificate that shows the doctor that delivered him because he was born in Kenya. Barry Soetoro is completely illegitimate. Look for him to try to hush this case up also as Barry doesn't want to go there! He didn't spend over 2 million to seal his birth records and all his college records for nothing!

I hope all soldiers stop following all illegal orders by our imposter in chief. Barry's a BIG joke and deserves no respect whatsoever.

Do i have to remind that our first presidents were not born on american soil!

1st President George Washington was born in Virginia
2nd President John Adams was born in Massachusetts
3rd President Thomas Jefferson was born in Virginia

The list goes on, every single President has been born on this soil. Regardless of his eligibility however you interpret it, if Obama was born in a foreign land he would be the first such president. And if he was born in Hawaii he would be the first President not born in the Continental United States. Regardless of what is and isn't true the thing that bothers me most about this guy is that even if he is "American" he is not really American like so many before him.

All presidents before him were born unto either long standing American families or for the first few emigrated American families. His father never was nor cares to be American. Obama is the first president to not be born to a christian family. Now I'm not much for religion but this further separates him from a rich American heritage. He is just not American like the majority of our population and that includes whites, blacks, browns, reds and yellows. It's not about his race it is about him being an artificial American totally out of common step from the vast population. It is unnerving.

The mans a fool. Yes I know my response isn't going to go over well with the birthers, or the the folks holding up the constitution, or any of the other groups out there. But I want to make my point.

When you join the military, and swear allegance to said military, no matter if its the army, air force, navy, marines, coasties or any other.
You swear not to join or be apart of any other organization, secret group.
For as long as you wear the uniform within the united states of America you will obey your orders to the best of your ability, to the president of the united states the commander in chief so help you god.

In effect this Lt Colonel has violated his primary oath to the united states of america, to the president and to god.

Also when you put on the uniform you give up your civilian rights as a citizen, and fall under the military court of justice codes.

18 years in the service with a bunch of medals, dosen't mean hes learned the #1 thing all military folk learn.

Which is to become a professional. Its a Job. They get paid well for doing there jobs, which puts them in harms way alot of the time. There trained to do there job as a professional. Without feeling without moral objection. In effect there is the enemy you kill the enemy. Its a job, your a professional. You follow your orders.

Example:

Lets say theres a 747 inbound to the restricted no fly zone over Washington DC. Terrorists have taken over the plane and sent there demands. Two jets are scrambled and head out to the incomming passenger jet. We never deal with terrorists, the Jet gets closer to US airspace. What if they have a dirty bomb on board, or some form of biological weapon, or chemical weapon which could kill thosands of law abiding US citizens. The order is sent for the two pilots to arm there missiles and shoot down the 747. Even though its full of american and other countries civilians. What do the pilots do?

They follow there orders, because its there training and they are professionals. Meaning the 747 is shot down and all the passengers are killed. Later in debriefing its found on the black box recordings that there were no terrorists on aboard it had been a malfunction in a onboard system which costs a few cents to produce. The two pilots feel absolutely terrible. And yes it will probably eat at them for along time to come. But mypoint I'm trying to make is this.

They followed there orders, they were professionals, and they did there job.

if they hadn't followed there orders to shoot downt he 747, and it did have a dirty bomb or worse on aboard, it could have killed thosands or millions of americans.

You personally might not like your commander in chief, you might think your commanders are all loons. But as a professional Military Officer you FOLLOW your orders, and do your duty.

Folks will say I'm a uncaring SOB, but Ive been in the postion to have to fire upon others. And in the end i did my job, cause I was trained to be a professional. And was paid well.

This land was colonized by the British when he was born here, ofcourse, there is nothing to forget as he couldn't be the first U.S. President if there was all ready a U.S. What you are doing is pure semantics. They were born here and made this country, they were born on their American soil. Don't be foolish in your logic.

Jambo kaploink...

He will be removed from command. Not because of his defiant position, but the fact he is allowing paranoid delusions to control his decision making. There is simply no place for someone with mental illness in command.

If he is so easily swayed by the birthers, who are claiming the feds whom would have access to the Hawaiian birth certificate and any other bit of information about Obama are either ignorant or part of a vast 40 year conspiracy, what's to say he won't be easily swayed by the enemy during combat. A Tokyo Rose could have this man shooting at his own troops. A danger to himself and the troops.

That of course opens a whole other can of worms...lol
How many in active service believe the bithers or in the very least secretly question it...

Then we must question how secure are we in the fieldÉ

Pandora`s box.

Can`t win this one. I think the unthinking masses will gobble up whatever FEAR they are most primed for.

Couple that with the idea floating around that President Obama has never produced his BC .(that I am aware of)

Couple that with President Obama`s popularity.

At the very least its gonna raise the stakes.

Looks like a no winner but Emanuel will be sure to exploit the situation.

My opinion is it really does not matter in the larger scope of things.

I think the worm has already turned.

Hope I am wrong and I star you for your post as it will fly in the face of popular opinion on ATS methinks and that alone, right or wrong, is very important to a free republic.

Just my two cents.

Oath this and oath that. Those of you calling this man a fool are lost. There's taking an oath and then there's being a blind sheep and doing what ever no matter what. The conscience, something you sheep seem to lack, is more important than a blind oath. Barack Hussein Obama (BARRY SOETORO) should prove he is a natural U.S citizen or step down.

Anyone who would say, oh I was just following orders when it was something they know is wrong, is an idiot. Those of you calling this man a fool are the perfect kind of people to be used by people all for stupid oaths and orders. Screw your oaths and follow the truth you scum.

He didn't violate any oath to God, it's man made oath's, not from GOD you sheep. And NO, your rights are not given up. The military isn't a government unto itself. Following authority blindly is for people that have given up their brain.

Another one. I remember a case last year that also challenged the authority and eligibility of Obama. That case was dismissed if I recall and the officer in question was never deployed as per his orders. There is precedent for this case for sure.

I think that case was different. That guy was reserve who volunteered for special duty assignment in Afghanistan. Apparently, if you're reserve and you volunteer, (not called up), up to the day you deploy, you can change your mind and "unvolunteer".

From what I could find on google, this Lt Col is a medical officer and he's active duty.

It would appear we have reached an impasse.

This thing has gone on for so long, and yet both sides are as staunch as ever.

Birthers..... he is a fraud! get him out!

truthers....... Why cant he just provide so we can move on and past this.

Supporters......... Birthers are delusional lunitics, and should accept, not question everthing

I see alot of the right questioning(blindly or otherwise) Obama on this because they are reps and regardless they will question everything pertaining to dems.

I also see many non-partisans questioning this because they are not entirely sure what to believe, and no one has really provided irrefutable evidence on either side.

I see alot of the left defending everything (blindly or otherwise) surrounding Obama, because they are dems and defend everything pertaining to dems.

Hard right - take him out at all costs
Hard left - defend him at all costs
middle - tolerant of each side, and willing to accept undeniable proof either way.

This issue has exposed the intolerance and partisanship of hard liners. Which of these 3 positions is the most logical?

which are you?

The land does not mean nothing. Our heritage and culture does not mean nothing. Most people like myself have a long and rich American heritage. And that is not to demote first generation Americans whose family immigrated here to become American, that is as American as anything else, what I'm saying is he does not share any of that with us except with his mothers side of the family which he rejects. He shares his fathers dreams and associates himself with his fathers heritage first and foremost or have you not read or looked into his books. He is artificial, American in technicality only (maybe) but certainly not American like me or even my Mexican neighbors. By him stating his mother was just a typical white person that tells me he doesn't see himself as his mothers son but as a Black man and his Fathers son who is not American.

The thirteen colonies...part of British North America.

Good point.

Colonial history of the United States

Starting in the late 16th century, England, Scotland, France, Sweden, Spain and the Netherlands began to colonize eastern North America.[2][3] Many early attempts—notably the Lost Colony of Roanoke—ended in failure, but several successful colonies were established. European settlers came from a variety of social and religious groups. No aristocrats settled permanently, but many adventurers, soldiers, farmers, and tradesmen arrived. The Dutch of New Netherland, the Swedes and Finns of New Sweden, the Quakers of Pennsylvania, the Puritans of New England (later called "Yankees"), the English settlers of Jamestown, and the "worthy poor" of Georgia, among others—each group came to the new continent and built colonies with their distinctive social, religious, political and economic styles.[4]

"The LTC in question must want to retire and this will be a good opportunity for him to grind his axe before leaving the service. He's likely topped out at LTC, "

Actually he is following a path leading to the Surgeon General's Office until this episode. No one who has achieved what he has in his career throws that out the window without deep donw convictions. All orders dealing with Comissioned Offciers are prefaced with the "Attention to orders, from the Office of President (Commander in Chief)". Regardless win or loose his future in the U.S. Army is over.
