Wow I didn't realize this had been happening in Portland...

This sounds pretty wild to be happening in Portland...

I don't think I've ever seen this type of rioting up there..

Evidently there have been two shootings since Jan 1.

What do y'all make of this?

The artilce goes on to say

In January Aaron Campbell was shot dead by police. A grand jury statement said police had been called to do a "welfare check" on Campbell because he was distraught over his brother's death and questioned police tactics in the confrontation.

well Ive never been to Portland
but it would appear that either
somebody gave some bad intel
to the cops or either somebody
at the scene was just trigger happy.
Rookie's make a lot of these
errors. When they get suited up
they get jittery and the adrenalin
makes their fingers and muscles twitch.
with a finger on the trigger, this makes
a deadly combination. Whatever
the circumstances, it's definitely
obvious that the Portland PD's
rules of engagement need to be
scrutinized. This is just sad.

Here in Utah the cops all the time kill some dude when his wife calls in and says he's suicidal...it's a great way to get rid of somebody, just call the cops and say he's armed and unreasonable and the police will come kill him in no time, oh my yes...

It is true that there is a lot of negative vibes in the air when it comes to Portland Police.... They are wondering what they can do to help relations with the citizens.

I can understand why people are upset. I think not too long ago, it was a mentally unstable man, and before that a black man... Both unarmed, and excessive force was used against them.

The people here are very untrusting and uneasy about Portland Police.

Man. I didn't even know about the protests, or I woulda been there too.

Thanks for posting this. I can't believe how it just keeps escalating.
