Dunno if it has been mentioned but the President pretty much already has an army (well not quite, but a force), and they're known as Marines. President doesn't need the approval of congress to get a good # of them to go and "investigate" a problem. What my brother's recruiter mentioned a while back anyhow. If thats the case, I'm not too worried. Brothers are Marines, as well as a few friends, and if SHTF, I'm pretty sure they have good enough discernment to know what's what and what to do

Hmmm. I wonder if, and it seems very likely in retrospect, if Germans in 1933 also said such things about the real hitler youth movement? To make themselves not feel so creepy about what was going on, they must have said things like, "Well, it keeps the kids busy and out of trouble."

Well, I know fantasy is a lot more exciting than fact. The truth of the matter however, is that the video was produced by a Missouri middle school teacher. Last I heard, she was suspended for making it.

As creepy and inappropriate as it is, it's got nothing to do with an Obama Youth Army.

As for the video of Obama calling for a civilian army, watch the unedited clip and you'll see that he's talking about expanding the peace corps.

You can wage a campaign of ignorance with fear and lies or you can wage a campaign of truth with facts. There are plenty of things to be upset about, and plenty of things to rally against without inventing boogeymen. Fight the good fight, but fight the correct fight.

No to all you suggest - of course.

But that doesn't also mean we (actually obama supporters) shouldn't change from using the "ostrich principle" and instead adopt a position of vigilance as to what the administration is doing. That's what I and others are suggesting ...
