There's always Tecumseh's curse to consider. Since Reagan was shot there is some debate over whether or not the curse was broken. I say if it is real, then it is still in effect. Reagan didn't die.

For anyone whose never heard of the curse, all US presidents who have been elected in years ending in zero have died in office, going back to the 1800's. Reagan being the exception. According to the curse, they don't have to be killed. They could choke on a pretzel.
Sorry!

If you want to learn more about the curse, do a google search. You should find plenty of info on it to keep you busy.

I've been worried about some kind of terra attack happening during the Republican convention. I could see this gang of Neo Cons taking out as many of their own as it takes to garner sympathy votes. Is it possible to imagine - considering the curse - they would sacrifice George Dubya? (It's becoming more and more clear that he's in trouble for re-election. Right now, if history is any judge, Kerry will win in November.) Cheney would most likely be elected if that happened. And then the nightmare would really begin.

The QM2 will be travelling with passengers so I highly doubt they will secretly move the boat for security reasons.

Thats odd because I googled QM2 2004 Olympics and it brought up many sites stating that QM2 will arrive in Athens on 8-12-2004

she actually made a comment about not being a fluffer which leads me to believe that if "she" isn't actually a fat hairy guy in his mom's basement, she might be a failed porn star. failed porn star ain't bad, still a star of the the mighty celluloid and a minor nobody in porn has probably been seen on screens small and large 5 times as often as some of today's biggest a list movie stars.

There will be a total of 11 major cruise ships docked at Pireaus for the 2004 Olympic Games. They will be home to over 13,000 people between August 12 to 30 serving as floating hotels. Perhaps this is what SBP is seeing in these 'visions' The Queen Mary is one of the ships that will be docked there.

Here are some details regarding the QM2...

Queen Mary 2 is the largest, longest, tallest, widest and grandest ocean liner ever built. At 236 metres, the vessel is taller than the Statue of Liberty, the Tower of London and the Colosseum. She is two-thirds the length of the Sydney Harbour Bridge span.

Queen Mary 2 boasts staggering statistics. Its funnel, 62 metres above the water line, was limited to enable access to the worlds key ports. The $5 million worth of art hung throughout the ship was commissioned in 128 countries, while 250 tonnes of industrial paint was used to cover 550,000 square metres.

Cunard and the University of Oxford formed a partnership to provide a program of authors, historians, artists, scientists and celebrities to enrich the on-board experience. For research or general reading, the ship boasts the largest-ever floating library.

A power plant provides sufficient electricity to light a city with a population of 200,000 and this is the only ship with its own planetarium. The ships whistle is audible for more than 15 kilometres

A space ratio of 5.32 square metres per person makes Queen Mary 2 one of the roomiest vessels. There are five pools and 10 restaurants, while 14 decks of sports facilities, shops, bars and lounges allow passengers to pursue their own interests in comfort.

Chatter About Al Qaeda and Limpet Mines

Limpet mines are designed to be attached to the outer hull of a ship by a diver and breach it catastrophically, but such a device detonated inside a hull would undoubtedly cause significant damage, if not necessarily sinking the ship.

While I havent seen anything connecting Athens with limpet mines directly, they come to my mind when considering possible scenarios, particularly in light of indications of Al Qaeda interest in them and speculation that several Chinese-made limpet mines may have gone missing.

Unlike suitcase nukes, such mines would not have a radiological signature, and would be more difficult to detect. Because of their watertight construction and sturdy, pressure-resistant cases, limpet mines would logically be attractive to terrorists. Such weapons would be much more difficult to detect with sniffers than unpackaged explosives, for example.

In the context of SBPs premonitions, limpet mines provide a powerful, encased, shaped explosive charge in a relatively compact package. Depending on the model, a limpet mine could conceivably be concealed in a suitcase. Add chemical, biological or radioactive contaminants to the mix and you would have one nasty piece of baggage.

Although AQ appears to have trained divers, the harbor will be heavily patrolled, and even a diver with a stealth rebreather would most likely be unable to approach anchored ships undetected -- although doing so is theoretically possible.

Just some thoughts to toss into the stew that this thread has become.

Whats to say that AQ won't try to attach something to a ship while still many miles from port?

Nothing at all, except the fact that attaching a limpet mine below the waterline (it would be detected if left above the waterline) on a moving ship -- while also theoretically possible -- is not a trivial exercise.

Even if the ship were stationary outside port, it would be difficult to approach without attracting attention, since navigational radar (which can typically pick up surprisingly small objects, such as zodiac boats) is always monitored at sea, visual watches are posted as a matter of routine, and all cruise ships are operating under tightened security procedures these days.

Use of some other type of device, such as a mine-carrying torpedo, for example, presents significant challenges of its own, and is probably more complex than necessary from the standpoint of Al Qaeda planners, who, sophisticated though they may be, seem to prefer simple and reliable tactics when it comes to delivering the goods.

Having said that, your point is a good one in that it is possible that AQ might plant explosives on a ship at a location less secure than the intended destination for an attack. However, the longer any devices or other preparations are left on a ship, the more likely they will be detected by the crew or by security sweeps. The risk is multiplied if more than one ship is prepared, since a detection on one ship would lead to thorough searches on other ships.

In this case, Im considering the use of limpet mines through the prism of SBPs premonitions. She saw suitcases used as the means of delivery. While not necessarily an obvious connection, I can see limpet mines being a reasonable candidate for such a method of deployment.

Of course, some other form of prefabricated and sealed explosive product designed to be portable by a single person and being potentially concealable in a suitcase would also make sense under SBPs scenario.

Lest anyone get the wrong idea, I am a skeptic with regards to these predictions, but see no shortage of skepticism on this thread. Working with the idea need not be confused with credulity.

Skeptic that I am, I nonetheless think it is more constructive to approach SBPs premonitions from the standpoint of how they might come to pass, since if they do not, all discussion to the contrary will be moot anyway.

So I choose instead to offer more speculation in a sea of speculation, because you never know.

Well, we have another piece of the puzzle. The news keeps talking about possible assasination of a US or European leader. So, SBP may indeed be on to something. certain specific aspects of her vision keep coming up in the news. We shall see.
