you could rip their head off?

But you didn't - know why?

Because you had a CHOICE - to rip their

head off or not.

Same thing with homosexuality - you have a

choice. You can go with it, or you can reject

it.

Stop trying to blame all sins on science or genetics.

It's human nature to sin - with satan's blessings.

The choice is up to the individual.

No, it isn't the same thing.
Yes, we make choices, that doesn't mean sexuality is a choice.
You can reject it, but that is only surpressing true feelings and emotions.

I find it amazig that there are people still out there in society that believe being gay is a choice.

Most gay people if not all find the process of coming out to family and friends very painful, even today. If it were simly down to choice most would choose to be straight, it's far easier.

That`s ridiculous and laughable.
First of all many DO chose to remain straight despite being gay
im sure you are aware of this

joining the military can be difficult too, but people still join.

As for being a mutant!!! We are all unique, no two people are the same, so that would make you a mutant too.

That doesn`t make any sense at all

I'm not surprised evolution doesn't make sense to you, but yes, we are mutations as we all have genetic differences from our parents.

edit to add: I reread what you wrote....... and I think I misunderstood to some degree. I agree that only those that are homosexual can really speak with validity as to the reason for their sexuality, but I also believe that in a broader sense, none of us have ever actually chosen to be the way we are.

Apologies if my post to you sounded snippy.

cheers

As do I....

I did not choose to be straight nor do I understand why I am. Therefore I would never assume to understand or judge someone who is gay, especially if I have never been so. There is much that I do not understand so I refrain from judgement.

What if I walk down the sidewalk and see someone I would like
to have sex with - but since that might get me into trouble, I
pass on the chance -

I suppressed my "true feelings" and "emotions" - that's not a
"bad" thing.

So?
Just because you can surpress the feelings means you should?
Good lord, grow up.
Gay people should be allowed to express their TRUE feelings and not be forced to accept YOUR view of how people should be.

whoa. some some people are innately more free that other people???? Are gay people more.... robotic... that bi's?

Robotic ? Please !

I assume you are straight ? Would you considder sex with a man ?
Probably not.
A gay person would probably considder sex with the other gender.
A bisexual would do them both.

Being gay or straight or bisexual has not anything to do with sex.
It is all about about romantical feelings to another. Sex is just a result of those feelings.
As far sex goes I agree with you. Sex is always a choice if it's not it is rape.

Are you saying that you could be homosexual if you decided to be?

You might be bisexual if you have that much control over your sexual preference.

Most heterosexuals could not decide to be gay.

I'm not, I'm asking why you think something in the subconscious is a choice, when it clearly isn't, don't make straw men.

The NUMBER ONE logical reason for why Homosexuality is a choice and nothing else.

Two people who are homosexual COULD NOT reproduce, therefore, they would become extinct.

That is nature's way of saying that it's not normal.

So stop defending it.

Attraction is a chemical reaction.

You have no control of who you are attracted to to. You weren't searching for a sensation the first time you were aroused, it simply happened.

Perhaps then it could be classified as a chemical imbalance of sorts like we see with depression or other behavioral tendencies.

Personally I think I never made a conscious decision to be gay, it's just the way I have always felt.

Many things are a factor in the equation of one person's sexual identity, there is no way to simply boil it down to a matter of choice.

Do some heterosexual men decide one day to become homosexuals? I am sure it's happened, we've all seen the ones who pretend to be different to get attention.

But I doubt were all crazy, faking or just attempting to lower the world's population.

Funny enough, as seen the Animal Kingdom, homosexuality becomes more prevalent as overpopulation rises consistently.

If something is in the subconscious, that doesn't mean a person is "required" to act on it.

People have a choice - it doesn't matter if it's a limp wristed male who sashays
more than I do - who wears pink fingernail polish on Fridays.........

..... EVERY PERSON has a choice in EVERY situation.

Most just take the easy way out - they don't want to go against
the grain - so they go with the mass general public.

Peer pressure I think they used to call it.

Many animals display homosexual behavior.

Also, are you saying you could be homosexual if you “decided” to be?

That's a really terrible argument.
Nobody is really saying gay is genetic anymore, we're done with that.
How do you explain attraction then? Just choice? You choose to love that particular person or not? I find THAT ridiculous.

you are defending murderers
you are sayign they murder on a subconscious level so it is not a choice and therefore they should not be incarerated.

how is that not defending them?

What? I never said that.
Why are you trying to go away from the topic?
Tell me what exactly attraction is to you then, is it a choice aswell?
Do you choose to be in love with someone?

"Natural attraction" has nothing to do with it - I'm "naturally"
attracted to chocolate - and lots of it.

Does that mean I gorge myself out on chocolate JUST because
I have a "natural attraction" to it?

No - because I know that it will cause my body damage and could
possibly seriously affect my health.

I may have a "natural attraction" to money - so I have a choice of
whether to rob a bank or not.
Due to the consequences, I choose NOT to.

Chocolate cravings - sex cravings - money cravings .......

There is still a choice within ALL situations. Your body's hormones
are no exception. And by all rights, with the amount of diseases in
today's world, sex should be the last "attraction" we 'choose' to
give in to.

That attraction still exists and you're only surpressing it though.
All you're saying is it's possible to surpress natural attraction, I DONT DISAGREE.
I'm saying it's a bad thing to surpress natural attraction in the case of gay people.

Ok, so what's going to happen when pedophiles or persons that engage in bestiality come forward and claim they have been "suppressing" their "true feelings" and "emotions" - do we accept their behavior into "normal" society, around our children?

You can't condone one while condemning the others - it doesn't work that way.
