BUT Disease doesn't care about how innovative you are...cancer doesn't care how hard you work or how much you contribute to society. Cancer kills children and bankrupts the hard working families that love them literally to death.

Caring for our sick is a cornerstone of every society from the birth of man...from tribes to modern day...BUT the good old USA was just to greedy to let that precident stand and made it a profit and loss equatuion.

Disease does not care about the free market...why do we continue to treat it like it does? Like it fits into any capitalistic equation? As if only if someone worked harder they would not get a brain tumor? Why? Greed.

I am an economist by education...I love capitalism....letting people die and go bankrupt within the system serves only greed...it doesn't benefit anyone but the Robber Barrons that run our insurance industry...

I listen to TV or talk radio, hear manipulative garbage from the MSM, then come online to find droves of people repeating it as if it's been confirmed. It's not a case of everyone coming to the same conclusions at once because it always starts with the media, and when they repeat it enough the public accept it as truth. No matter how many times they lie to you, you never let that interfere with the next crap they feed you.

There's not even two ways about it. People like yourself are repeating verbatim things people on TV have said, after they've said it. I rarely see an original thought on these matters, just people lining up into the two sides prepared by the media, and yes it's made me lose respect for people who fall for it time and time again. As far as "all my posts" being about that, you're just flat out wrong.

All i ever did was point out that what you were saying before about the HCR being an insidious 'foot in the door' began in the media, and is not an opinion you came to on your own.

So tell me...Where does your logic end? If you're going to be so bold as to take that stand you apparently go to the source for everything and have no filter. Apparently you're right there along the reporters in the white house daily briefings, you're in the halls of congress listening to the debates, you're right along side of your state representative reading legislation, you're at all rallys you comment on, you're in Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Israel, you're there in the supreme court when they are going through their docket. You have to do this because getting your news from a filter just isnt good enough.

As for listening to talk radio I dont. As for listening to the legacy media, I dont. Its all right and left propaganda. If I want to know about something I pick up several books on the matter. Understood. I'm just saying that when an angry citizen leaves an explicit, threatening message at someone's house a child is bound to hear it or at least understand that he or a member of his immediate family may be in danger. There is no need for that, especially when you can leave the same message at the politicians office. This is damaging to the child and there is no excuse for it. Same thing with spitting and yelling racial slurs at congressmen. You can yell and curse a person all you want especially in the context of arguing against what they have done, but to insult in this way goes over the line.

about this Healthcare crap then why does Nancy polosi have a 8% approval rating in her own district? If everyone was so happy, why isn't her approval rating soaring? BTW her district is San Fransisco. It doesn't get much more liberal than san fran. Those that are saying, "well half the people support this bill' are just flat out liars.

I will also add, the founding fathers founded a REPUBLIC so that the majority couldn't take away the rights of the minority. All you naysayers (I.E. Cowards) can sit back while real men do what you should be doing. Remember only 10% of the population fought in the revolution I foresee the SHTF on april 19th with the million man armed march.

And I've been to both A-stan and Iraq. Anyone fighting is my brother. And I care more about them than some dweeb that's chucking rocks at windows. He can be 8 different ways of pissed off, but breaking a window ain't gonna fix it.

I agree, but I have a problem with the "Robber Barrons" in Congress getting their hands on anything. Crude, but fitting: Congress would screw up a wet dream.

Has anything they done ever worked out right? If Medicare was such a mess, then fix it! If they wanted to make sure that kids were covered, or people with pre-existing conditions were covered, fix it!

And school loans? Just what does that have to do with health care? If they wanted to make some sort of grant program that hinged on kids going to med or nursing school, then make one up! Instead, they slip it in the health care bill.
