Talked one of my mates into joining today, Burgerhead, and while he was searching for me to add me as a friend he stumbled upon this.

What did you do in 1969? Will you be honest with us about your transgressions?

Yup the 1969 thing pops up here and there.

I think when there is a loss of data or time stamp it defaults to a predetermined date, namely December 31, 1969.

And some more info:

It's actually a bit of computer trivia.

The date that most computer clocks are set to is the beginning of the "VAX-Epoch" which was the first millisecond of Jan 1, 1970, which is stored as the number "1".

And it is ticked off in a computer's clock in milleseconds from that time.

For instance, as of me typing this sentence, it's been 1234918291 milliseconds since midnight, 12/31/1969.

So.. basically your iPod is displaying the number "0" for the date.t

answers.yahoo.com...

Dunno if true but it does make sense.

Sorry I realise I just turned a humourous thread into a serious one...

um... oh look a dancing jester!

Hilarity.

If you spell your name correctly, without the extra dot, you'll get a different result.

Just for the record, it seems that the 12/31/1969 is default date within site code.

For example: www.belowtopsecret.com...

All this is kind of explained here: www.abovetopsecret.com...

I was told if I disclosed this information I would be restricted to the political madness forumz.

But now that you're here, can I have a candle?
The one you gave me in 2008 went out.
