i am uncertain of how i came to be on this planet. i am also uncertain of what, exactly it means to be alive. because of these two conditions, my primary philosophical viewpoint is that of an unwitting participant in a bizarre experiment.

from this perspective, i can state the following:

1- all planetary resources are equally everyone's
2- i should not be at cost to remain alive

.....let me rephrase that second one:

since i do not know how i came to be alive, it should not cost me anything to remain alive.
__________

now, i realise that this is not a very tenable argument. for sure, this philosophy is a great big pie in the sky. i have no proposal for HOW healthcare should become provided for all people.

but it clears up a very important point: universal healthcare is not a privilege OR a right. it is not socialist or fascist.

it is, or at least it ought to be, an inherent condition of living.

Why is food not free? And what about water? And you also need clothes and shelter to survive for a long period of time also why don't we get these things for free?

yes, exactly. i know that its about as highly idealistic and impractical as it comes. but all of those things you mention, insofar as they are basic sustenance, really ought to be at no cost.
