God exists...that I will not deny. But, God may not exist the way that you've been convinced that he/she it does.

With all of the factions of Christianity claiming to be correct, and all of them claiming to have a monopoly on the soul...which one do you stand by???

Baptists say the Methodists are wrong. The Methodists hate Jehovah's Witnesses. The Jehovah's Witnesses claim that Catholicism is incorrect, yet the Catholics were the beginning of it all. Then we have the Catholics claiming that the Mormons are all going to hell, but then the Mormons are positive that the Presbyterians are looneys and then the Presbyterians seem to think that the Pentecostals are nuts (which they are), then you have the Evangelicals which can consist of all of them.

So...which side are you on??? Which Jesus do you follow??? Which religion has the ultimate monopoly on the soul???

I think you got lost because I have been blaming the parents, not the bible. I have just been pointing out that without the bible, this would never happen. There is no secular kiddy camp where children are brainwashed to believe they should just be good people for the sake of being good people.

You must at least have some idea just how hard you are to follow for an English speaking person. The fact that I had to ask 5 times what language you speak would indicate no. Let me tell you, your English is very very very poor. That is not a slam at you. I do not expect people to write English well if it is not their native language and there is no reason they should. I am honestly making an effort to understand what you are saying and respond to you the best that I can. It is clear after many many many many posts that you are not showing me the same consideration on any level.

Well i am a parent my kid picks what kind of camps she likes. There is zero force in that. what sould it be outlawed that a kid fills happy? but i take it you don't got kids are do you force them no take your views only like you been trying on here with others

Good for your kid. My kids will be parented instead of allowed to run off to any brainwashing camp they wanted to. You can argue that the bible plays a good role, sometimes. How do you know that Satan isn't manipulating you? For all I know, you could be his henchman disguised as a person of faith. After all, if you were a true believer, maybe you should start following your religions own teachings. Judge not lest ye be judged, let he who is without sin cast the first stone, hate the sin not the sinner. Maybe instead of condemning your fellow man, you should in fact leave that to your god. This is child abuse, I agree. I have witnessed this myself from my nephews-in-law. One is a five year old and the other a seven year old, growing up in a small town, in a very closed-minded Christian family.

One day when they came to visit us, I was talking to them and somehow I got on the topic of school and science, and asked them about planet Earth.

Their response was that they were not allowed to talk about it. Mommy told them that there would be people out there who would try to tell them lies, but that they should just know that Jesus made the planet in 6 days and that was the only truth.

These kids will now be scarred due to this teaching/abuse and will probably be VERY confused later in life when they start learning about the world. I respect the family's wishes and dropped the conversation, a little shocked.

I would never try to 'convert' these kids in my family, if you want to call teaching science converting, as has been standard practice for the religious community for millenia. Their parents should be allowed to teach their kids whatever they like to, at this point in history, but I can definitely see how in the future when our society is more advanced, this could be looked at as child abuse.

me closed minded it not my place to tell anyone how to rase there kids. What if there way is the right way? I don't know if it is aslong as they an't beating the kids or raping them i am cool with it. I will admit i an't god so it an't my place to be saying what right and wrong. So you acknowledge that you have no clue what psychological abuse is all about? Many children survive physical beatings far better than the mental torture that can be subjected. I really just suggest that you educate yourself on psychological abuse as you seem to not even understand that it exists.
