But religion answers less, it has even LESS backup...and yeah, I did read your post

That's the thing, you criticize science, but fail to do so when it comes to religion which has even less backup...if any at all when it comes to the things they really wanna prove (there is a God, God thinks that XYZ, etc.). At least science is trying to prove things by researching and finding evidence. Religion is stuck at trying its best to keep their status quo viewpoint.

So basically you're a believer out of fear...that seems very dishonest imo. Also, you are willing to live your whole life according to rules for which there is zero backup.

At least science is TRYING to work things out, all religion does is repeat their statements over and over again until people start believing it.

That is where you lack in reason betrays you. The prophecies that has came true with the emergence of the Christ is mind boggling compared to anything that science has ever proved. Science is a religion of people who has faith in science. Science has given us many conveniences in life, but it has also given us many devastation's in life. Christ taught to love one another. And just to believe in him. I have heard of conflicts in the bible and when someone try's to point one out I find out for myself, by reading the bible, that there is no conflict-ion to be found.

Also about criticizing science. Isn't it science's own motto to be critical? But when the criticism starts the self proclaimed preachers of science get angry. Then acting in a reverse manner thinks it's okay to criticize religion. lol. Come on. That is hypocritical within hypocrisy. You are starting to not make sense.

Oh and about religion...where do I start...well you have faith in science. You have made science a religion by believing that it will take you where you want to go. Religion is a word that clumps together different beliefs and saying that they are the same thing. As we know there can only be one correct answer to a given question on a test, but there are different ways of learning that answer.

As to answer you about finding evidence I suggest you re-read link I posted. Then think about it for a while as if really considering it. Use reason.

And that's great, like I wrote earlier, if it makes you feel good you should stick with it. I have not the slightest problem with that. I only have a problem with the fundamentalists who are trying to push their agenda on others by entering politics and not separating church and state.

Regurgitating and embellishing your buddies stories of handicapped Christian individuals is nothing but biased, prejudicial, common, poppycock.
It is the indication of the pure IGNORANCE you profess.

Dude calm down, I never mentioned handicapped xtians period I merely questioned why disabled people leave a church as well as enter it.

What on earth are you having a wob over "alleged" story embellishment for ? Look how often xtians retell stories like Mrs Smith coming to church with a sever limp and the pastor (even a 3 foot one) laying on hands and magically making the limp go away.

Come on now big boy, please feel free to explain why a church could possibly need an elevator for the disabled ?

Is that a Cajun accent. Not sure how your trying to use the enunciation. I get the fact that your trying to use a southern accent to make fun of religion thereby claiming speaking southern makes one ignorant. Hmmm. Can you show any scientific proof that would state such. Awww...I get it. Nevermind.

Man I could do this all day.

As long as it doesn't hurt anyone, sure. I mean, if someone wants to believe in God and live his life according to those rule...why not let him? He's not bothering me. If 2 dudes want to have sex, why not? They don't hurt anyone...

It's called freedom. You lose that right the second your actions harm others though.

One person's freedom in another person's bondage. Since your on the subject of sex, let's say you have a daughter. She is your pride and joy. And you love this child like nothing else. Now in the future she grows up to be a star in the porno industry. How would you feel about that?

After all, who is she hurting?

Heh, extreme example...but in the end she'd be free to do whatever makes her happy. I probably wouldn't be happy about it, and would definitely have a chat with her...but if I'm convinced she's happy doing whatever she does, who am I to stop her? If she's old enough to do porn, she's old enough to make her own decisions. Who am I to stop her from being happy??? And even if I wanted to stop her from being happy, what could I do? Lock her up in a room until she dies? Send her to a women only monastery??

You're right, her doing porn wouldn't hurt anyone. Yes I wouldn't be happy, but freedom to do whatever makes one happy (as long as it doesn't hurt anyone) is a basic human right. And I won't take away people's freedom.

Let me throw that question right back at you. If your daughter one day came home to you, and told you she's gay...what would you do if you didn't agree with it? She wouldn't have chosen to be gay, it would be in her nature. Going against her nature would kill her happiness...would you take that away from her? Change who she really is?

See. Someone has been hurt. You said as long as it doesn't hurt anyone. And no you yourself could do nothing to stop her in that scenario. A helpless feeling.

It would hurt you. Pain does not just come on by a physical nature, but as soon as it is manifested it causes physical pain.

That is a very fair question. Yes it would hurt me. I would still love her no matter what she did. I would pray to God that his will be done. She along with everyone else has the freedom to do her will. Freewill if you will. lol. Sorry just a small joke. Miracles have been observed and reported by millions over the years. So much in fact that if they had a Court trial in the U.S. and all the witnesses showed up they would have to by law say that yes miracles are real.

I would have hope.

I wouldn't really be hurt if I knew she was happy...because like for every dad, the happiness of his children goes above anything else. I'd be happy if she's happy. Me not totally agreeing because I wouldn't wanna do porn myself can't really be counted as me "being hurt"

@light: You're doing the right thing by letting her be herself, kudos. Wish more would think that way...sadly it's often not the case

I know I would be hurt. I would think that her moral values would have been thrown away due to whatever reason. I would feel as a failure. When people center themselves into doing only what makes them happy without regards to other peoples feelings, they are considered self-centered. Self-centered leaves one's perspective of events very limited. To be happy that they are happy is something completely different. But knowing that their self-centered view is detrimental to their soul compels a fear that makes one hope there is still time.

But from her perspective you'd be self-centered because you care more about your feelings and how YOU feel about her than what she thinks or if she's happy or not. It's a double standard...
