TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – If you thought Tea Party activists were mad before, you ain't seen nothing yet.

Instead of being discouraged by passage of health care reform, tea party activists across the country say the defeat is a rallying cry that makes them more focused than ever on voting out any lawmaker who supported the measure.

"We're not going to stop. Obviously, the whole tea party movement started because we're about smaller government and less spending and less taxes. There is absolutely no way we can pay for this," said Denise Cattoni, state coordinator for Illinois Tea Party,

Come on now. We all have that tax party supporting crazy neighbor or relative that's always ranting about socialism and commies. You know the one that you won't leave your kids alone with.

Joking aside, what was once a very respectable movement to improve government by Ron Paul supporters have become a group for the least stable in our society. I know there are many decent people in the Tea Party, but they are being marginalized and outnumbered by the loonies. The people you see screaming at the top of their lungs and waving signs which make little sense. The ones thriving on fear and anger. The ones that will listen to no other opinions and become unhinged if you even try to discuss it with them like adults.

It's unfortunate. There are large number of angry protestors, seething with that spiteful and negative energy that naturally, is going to have an influence on everybody supporting them at the given moment. Though their intentions might be plausible, they are just to riled up to even put forth a legit stand. Grown men and women spitting and shouting racial slurs is setting a very bad stereotype up for everybody else.

I think they are just there to protest things and have no interest in tea or cakes whatsoever.

You think they'd use some of that aggression to protest the war and call for an early return home from duty...

Something that is actually killing, young, people as we speak...

Ok point taken. But is that fair though? Is it really just the media's fault that so much attention is directed at this side of the Tea Party?

I'm asking a serious question. To what extent is this party based on the fact that Obama is mixed race?

We all saw what happened outside Congress on Sunday. Totally unacceptable in my opinion.

I'm not a fan of the Tea Party, I put them in the same class as the BNP, basically a far-right group that's just as bad as Obama only in the other direction. The whole anti-government movement is NOT based on us having a black president though, nor does it come only from the right. There are some people, like me, who opposed the government under Bush, hoped Obama would make it better, and were proven wrong.
