Only time will tell, No one really understands how this bill will effect us... And I can gaurantee you if this bill starts to cut into Americans Pockets, he will be voted out. Right now even thought the Bill is passed 38 States are considering filling a lawsuit over it... There appears to be an Ugly backlash they may come to a head in 2010, just sit back and see whats up we are No longer in control of the Boat.

Ya, historically that never worked. They tried that for SS, medicare, etc...its basically just a waste of taxpayer money overall and will be this time again.

Some people understand how it will effect us, so you cant say no one..its just most of the people whom do understand it are not listened to anyhow because its more "fun" to speculate than listen.

CNN has read the entire bill and knows exactly what is going on...not parts, not snippets, but actually the whole bill and so they report on the actual facts verses just out of context positives or negatives.

Agreed, to an extent. Though I'd rather it Not be in such a cart before the horse manner.

i.e.:
Pelosi
But we have to pass the bill so that you can find out what is in it, away from the fog of the controversy."

I guess, in a round about manner, that'd be the same as saying, "We need to push this economy over the edge before we can ever truly realize how it'll tumble into the ravine below."

Sorry, but that's one of the most ill-sighted and ridiculous things I've ever heard spoken by a politician ... and we All know there have been Many similar-type gaffes from all sides of the political spectrum.

What are you talking about? My understanding of the bill makes it hard to swallow, No one (except my wife) can force me to do anything. To be a smart ass I dropped health Insurance on myself while she picked it up at her work her and the kids... I wish a Mo Fo would tell me I have to get it, Cause Im gonna tell you where to stick it.

If you can afford it, you will pay...if you cant afford it, you wont pay but you can still get it..and if you refuse it...well, you will pay also.

but dont worry, you can pretend to buck the system for 4 years.

It wont be as bad as refusing to pay taxes though...wont end up in prison, so thats a plus.

As far as nobody making you do whatever...I assume you own car insurance, a drivers license, etc etc etc...face it, you can be forced to do stuff, All americans are born into force to do stuff, so no change there.

On principle, I don't like the mandate...but on logic I see how it is needed. Not sure which one is more important anymore, logic or principle..especially when they are mutually exclusive.

Wrong, I can buck the system after the four years is up, you can force me to do anything I dont want to do. I have nothing in my name anyways... Force me to be fines and take it from my paycheck... Ill quit my job and work my land. (which is in my wifes name.) The Feds want to come take me to jail well we can call it ruby ridge part two... Eh... YOU CANT FORCE ME TO DO ANYTHING I DONT WANT TO DO... I dont even own a freaking car because I refuse to pay auto Insurance....

Chew on that for a bit.

I know ways around the system, there is always a loop hole for everything, This government doesnt pay attention when you force someone to do something they dont want to do, it nevers ends good. I am a law-biding citizen, But this is one law I will break.

How do you figure it will weaken them? They are a minority party... It took the Dems a year to right a bill that amounts to 2700 pages of toilet paper... The White house and Congress are weak, so they grasp at straws and named the Repukes the boogey man, even though they (Dems) have HUGE majorities... What does that say about them and their leadership abilities? Or lack thereof?

(exception is Mass Senator being 41 but they still had 60 Votes, and the only reason this Senate bill got passed was because it was passed before Brown took office…) So Again what does that say about the leadership of Obama and The Democratic leaders?

Well, I can appreciate your stance. I would venture to say the people uneffected by this will be the Amish, you might want to investigate their loopholes for opting out of governmental run programs like this. Doesn't mean you have to actually become amish of course, but it may mean that if you get sick, your either paying cash before your admitted, or your finding your own health care..but I am sure by learning their secrets, you can find something satisfactory without ending up fined up the wazoo or worse.

Might want to fix your word there...civil discourse only...else your going to get a warning and a removal based on the baiting word.

It will weaken the republicans, here's how I figure....
They're liars, they have been lying about Obama since before he was elected. They lied all the way through the health bills inception and they lied right through it's passing last night. It passed anyway. So now if the world doesn't end, everyone but the most fervent "dittohead" will realize what liars they are and how their opposition was based on nothing but trying to make the dems look weak and powerless and a chance for them to regain power and control.

I don't think people will forget Bush and what he did to this country. All the posturing the republicans do trying to cut themselves loose from Bush isn't going to work. They rubber stamped everything he did and tried to shame anyone who opposed him. He drove this country broke.

These hypocrites have the nerve to stand in front of the American people and say that helping the poor get health insurance will bancrupt the country. I think spending trillions to kill women and children in Iraq (a country that did nothing to us at all and didn't even have any weapons) is what bancrupted this country but they seem to have no problem with that.

So let's just see what really happens when this bill kicks in and if you are a republican you better hope the world ends by November or you may see less republicans in the Congress. If you lose a couple more Senate seats you won't be able to obstruct progress anymore with the filibuster.

I don’t think the Repukes are weakened by this look at the numbers, last years the DemoCraps could have slammed this home... They had A super Majority. They didn’t because Obama and The Dem Leadership is weak. The Repubs are a minority party, the Dems could have waltz all over them, but it took them a year to get it through. Why because there leadership is weak.

The Dems have been in power of Congress for Four years... So a few of those years was when Bush was in the White House? So did the Dems Rubber Stamp Bushes plans for those two years he was President and the Dems had control of Congress? What do you have to say about that?

Now as far as Iraq, Do you forget all of the Democrats that came out voted for the authorization of the War in Iraq? And the Subsequent yearly budgets for the War? What do you say about that?

I think the Dems will lose seats in November, but does it matter? The Repubs will continue to do the same thing. We need a third part here in America I am Sick of both Idiots DemoCraps and RePukes alike. I am also sick Of party hacks like yourself who thinks there shat don’t stick, look into your parties history they are just as bad as the RePukes.

What do you say about that? Can you honestly answer my questions.

I think you right on. This, even though a big platform for him, will not mean too much if people are still out of work and the economy is still struggling come 2012. That is what will make or break his next term. Not all of the political BS that goes back and forth in order to divide the people but the simple fact that he may not have done enough to get the economy back on track while rewarding those that got it in trouble in the first place.
