This is the speech John Boehner gave on the floor of the House just prior to the Healthcare vote being taken. There has never been another speech like this given by a member of Congress given in the history of our country. Our government is broken.

My fellow Americans, we are in perilous times.

Regardless of whether or not you wanted this bill to pass, you need to HEAR what Boehner's saying. This is serious stuff.

Our government is not functioning as the Founders intended and we are at risk of breaking apart as a country. We ALL need to care about this.

Pretty strong words. Unfortunately he is just towing the party lines. Find it funny when the guy says "both sides will do well to remember the dignity of this house." These guys are all idiots.

I don't like this guy at all, but there could be 2 interpretations of his speech.

1. He is just saying all this to scare people because he has already scared himself with all this 'socialism' crap.

or

2. He is telling the truth and we are in dire times and someone finally admits we are broken for non-political reasons.

This wasn't partisan rhetoric. Our government is, as he says, broken. Numerous polls had the American people more than 70% AGAINST this legislation yet they did it anyway using bribes and arm-twisting to get it done.


Can any of you tell me you're cool with the IRS enforcing this? HELLO! That's IRS! The have been given the power to make sure you've bought your insurance and they're going to make sure your policy is up to their standards. And they're hiring 17,000 to make sure you do it their way. This is like communism!

Not only that, but they snuck in a takeover of student loan lending. Did you hear about that? Now, the GOVERNMENT will decide who gets financing for college.

So, they have the banks taken over, the car industry, healthcare and college admissions.

Next, they're going back to cap and trade along with immigration reform. Yes, lets make millions legal before November. Think of 20 million grateful new voters voting for the Democrats.

We've just experienced a legislative coupe d'etat.

We've been taken over. Do we see what's really happening?

WAKE UP AMERICA. WE ARE LOSING OUR FREEDOM.

The man is a liar, a fear monger and an embarrassment to the State of Ohio. He makes me sick to my stomach everytime he opens his mouth.

Sorry you feel like that about him. Obviously, I don't share your opinion.

His message is one that should be heard by all of us regardless of your political views.

This bill was rammed down the American people's throats. The Constitution was trampled on and we are in real danger of collapsing.

We need to wake up and get control back of this government or we will break apart like the Titanic.
