Wait a minute. Did you just say that Obama is fiscally conservative?

LOL. You obviously DO NOT follow current events. Obama has spent MORE in 1 year than ALL THE PRESIDENTS COMBINED.

Now, in regards to everyone else's posts here, I respect everyone's viewpoints. They are all valid. But, can't we just tweak our current system and fix/try new things like:

1. Be able to buy insurance over state lines.
2. Limit lawsuit award amounts.
3. Build "free" hospitals (like "free" clinics). Not only will that help low-income people/families, but would create jobs.
4. Cap what a pillmaker can charge for pills.

These are just a few ideas.

Affirmative, also a patriot does not have all the answers he merely  sets the prerogative to get the ball going. He does not fix the problems he merely gets people to focus on fixing the problem by giving them no choice but to admit that there is a problem, by force if necessary. This is what all those people in wigs did some time ago, exempt jefferson he dident like wigs and dident wear them. You people need to stop attacking gwydionblack, or mayby you have not hit the right spots for him to respond in kind maiby you have not attacked him enough. Awareness of problems is achieved through much noise and opositions of many thought's, at an impasse.

I fully agree with you. If the American public do not wake up soon and take a bold and courageous stand against their corrupt government, their chances will slowly slip away and a revolution will become harder and harder. But, they must remember, that all they need is 1,000 US citizens to refuse to pay this ridiculous Healthcare Insurance Bill, and the game is over.

"The word of one politician is not as strong as that of a hundred peasants!"

Your post reminded me of something I read a while back, a parable, that I thought was very fitting to the situation...

*****

How to Catch Wild Pigs

There was a chemistry professor in a large college that had some exchange students in the class. One day while the class was in the lab, the professor noticed one young man, an exchange student, who kept rubbing his back and stretching as if his back hurt.

The professor asked the young man what was the matter. The student told him he had a bullet lodged in his back. In his native country he had been shot while fighting communists who were trying to overthrow his country's government and install a new communist regime.

In the midst of his story, he looked at the professor and asked a strange question. He asked:

"Do you know how to catch wild pigs?" The professor thought it was a joke and asked for the punch line. The young man said that it was no joke.

"You catch wild pigs by finding a suitable place in the woods and putting corn on the ground. The pigs find it and begin to come everyday to eat the free corn. When they are used to coming every day, you put a fence down one side of the place where they are used to coming. When they get used to the fence, they begin to eat the corn again and you put up another side of the fence. They get used to that and start to eat again. You continue until you have all four sides of the fence up with a gate in the last side. The pigs, which are used to the free corn, start to come through the gate to eat that free corn again. You then slam the gate on them and catch the whole herd. Suddenly the wild pigs have lost their freedom. They run around and around inside the fence, but they are caught. Soon they go back to eating the free corn. They are so used to it that they have forgotten how to forage in the woods for themselves, so they accept their captivity."

The young man then told the professor that is exactly what he sees happening in America. The government keeps pushing us toward Communism/Socialism and keeps spreading the free corn out in the form of programs such as supplemental income, tax credit for unearned income, tax cuts, tax exemptions, tobacco subsidies, dairy subsidies, payments not to plant crops (CRP), welfare, medicine, drugs, etc. while we continually lose our freedoms, just a little at a time.

One should always remember two truths: There is no such thing as a free lunch and you can never hire someone to provide a service for you cheaper than you can do it yourself.

Where would cars be without America? just fine. Cars were a European invention. Improved by Henry Ford, certainly, using European immigrants on his production line.

Where would the toilet be without America? Just fine. Flushing toilets were invented by Thomas Crapper, an Englishman.

True, American "invented" flying (they figured out the priciples) but other nations such as France, Italy, Germany and England actually developed airplanes after the original Wright brothers flight that were far more innovative.

America invented the Atomic Bomb - using German scientists to run the project and German theories (Einstein and Oppenheimer were certainly not Americans when the bomb was developed).

Americans were first to the moon (because they had REALLY good GERMAN scientists, but Russia was first into space (because they had BETTER German scientists). America was simply playing catch up.

America would have been nothing without the Industrial Revolution that took place in England.

Americans claim that they invented many things that were actually invented elsewhere.

As far as the light bulb, it is widely speculated that the design of the AC generator was stolen from Nicolas Tesla, working in America but certainly not American.

What about Democracy I hear you ask? Well, the modern version of democracy has been around in Denmark for over 1000 years, and in England for centuries. Democracy wasn't even a new idea in 1776.

You like Europe so much, why don't you go there? Instead, you're just in an extension of America (i,e. Canada). Sad, but true. Canada and Europe are so dependant upon the U.S. Do we really need to go there?

If all these countries in Europe are so much better, why did they have to unite into the EU just to be able to compete with the U.S? Did anyone even notice that when the American recession hit, YOUR Beloved England's economy went down the toilet? Not to mention Spain and France. It is true that Germany has weathered the recession well. However, I wonder why all these GREAT European countries also had trouble when America's recession hit? Why would their country be affected by our economy? Because as much as people like you don't want to admit it, America is STILL the best country in the world. You know this to be true. Whether we fall or not, no one can tell. As of right now, we're still number 1.

Democracy was in Denmark 1000 yrs ago? I was under the impression democracy was founded by the Greeks, way pre-dating 1000 yrs ago. *Somebody please feel free to give the b-date of democracy*

Let's see in terms of war, for example:

USA vs. Great Britain- USA 2, GB 0
USA vs. Spain - USA 1, SP 0
USA vs. Germany - USA 2, GER 0
USA vs. Italy - USA 1, ITA 0

Let's see the most IMPORTANT invention of mankind (as of today):

THE MICROCHIP--Texas Instruments
*that alone ends your argument*

Do I really need to list everything that uses a microchip? I don't have the time!

Dear pajoly,

What kind of purpose are you trying to serve other than trying to vie for a mod position since you believe they cannot handle their jobs?

BUT - to answer your question, when this country was "attacked" this patriot was 14 years old. When this country went to unprovoked wars, this patriot was 16 years old. When this patriot first started getting involved in politics he was 17 years old. By the time this patriot was 18 years old he was writing senators and marching in anti-war rallies. By the time this patriot was 19 years old he realize that peaceful means in this country weren't working. By the time this patriot was 20 years old, he realized that the only method that has ever worked to restoring this country to freedom and liberty, was the method that was enacted in the late 18th century by those Founders that I got 3rd grade quotes from.

Perhaps if I was born a little earlier in the spectrum, I would have stood a chance rallying against Bush but I settled with the last years of his presidency and spoke out against him enough to make up for those years where I wasn't into politics and freedom quite as much as I am today.

You can assume quite a lot but when you actually get to know a person, or perhaps ask them where they stand - maybe then you would get an accurate perception of how this "tin hat wimp" - "stood aside and cheered" as our country fell in the past decade.

If you want to disagree....then show me EXACTLY how you would stop this from happening.

I never claimed to be an expert on health care reform. I don't know where you go that notion from. However, I did manage to use more common sense in less than 100 words then our so called politicians managed to use in over 100,000.

I made an outline, a rough draft - it is a series of points where this information gets filled in under the header titles. I'm sure even YOU knew this. If I wanted to be the one to design a health care reform plan, I would have done it, but guess what - I didn't.

So tell me exactly...direct answer...do you support the federal government regulating the insurance industry???

Direct answer: NO.

What isn't "free market" about the medical industry right now???

Perhaps the sheer amount of regulations on the industry or the corruption from with the FDA? The burden of proof isn't on me because I have no desire to prove anything to you because you are the only one bothering to ask.

How about some specific solutions if you think you have it all figured out?

This is quite funny. In fact this statement shows that you are either threatened by me or much like many others would choose to put words into my posts.

Did I ever say I had it all figured out? Why so vague? Did I say it or not?

Didn't think so.

If I had all the answers the the countries problems, I probably wouldn't be unemployed right now. You will never hear me say anything to the contrary. I am a simple man, a patriot who loves this country til my dying death, at least what this country stands for. I'm not afraid to admit, not do I feel I am being cocky when I say I might be smarter than the average American, however, I have NEVER claimed to have it "all figured out".

Ignorance of the remainder of my post as usual. It doesn't take much to spot the trolls these days.

Those are all the specifics you need thank you very much. I have no desire or obligation to portray my plans or ideas of actions to anybody that would want nothing more than to stop me in my tracks. I make no threats, I name no names, and I challenge no laws. Therefore, I am safe.

But seriously - guys with this whole America vs the world posts, create your own topic if you wish to debate the inventions of America or compare it to other countries. Clearly if that is what this topic means to you, you have missed the entire point.

To all the supported who I failed to reply to, know that I appreciate the support and keep fighting the good fight. I also appreciate those who can debate and discuss civilly without using personal attacks and logical fallacies.

To all the naysayers and attempted trolls - well I believe I have already said enough to all of you, much more than you would deserve in your fruitless battles to derail and discredit. I have nothing to hide and do not consider myself a God-like entity that is "all knowing". If that is how you see me acting as then it is because you have created me that way in your mind. Perhaps you should not give me so much credit because I certainly do not return that notion.

Adieu and until tomorrow, goodnight all.

3 days later and the country is still here. It's not tearing itself apart (any more than before), and anarchy isn't rampant.

I do get entertained here because I see so many Chicken-Littles and Boys-Who-Cry-Wolf. You wanna see some loss of liberty? Try going to a country where even the word liberty is illegal.

If you want to freak out, freak out on the political process and change that system by voting and getting involved on a local level.

And finally, quit trying to talk for me. Speak for yourself. Don't speak for anyone other than you. I didn't elect you and you don't have a right to speak for me.

(Sigh)

Who are you replying to exactly? I will assume that since it is just a general reply that it is to the OP.

3 days later and the country is still here. It's not tearing itself apart (any more than before), and anarchy isn't rampant.

Did I say it would be? If I did please state it. I said there was the possibility that this could fuel American's in the direction of revolt and quite frankly, I still stand by that statement.

You wanna see some loss of liberty? Try going to a country where even the word liberty is illegal.

Actually, in most cases that wouldn't be a loss of liberty. You see, you have to have had something before you are able to "lose" it. Most other countries have not experienced liberty and are not able to lose it. Thankfully I was born in America, a staple of the worldwide liberty movement and a place that, believe it or not, once represented liberty quite well. America has LOST its liberty while most other places never even had it.

If you want to freak out, freak out on the political process and change that system by voting and getting involved on a local level.

I feel like I relive the same sequence of events every day in my life because every day I have to explain the concept to someone who actually believes that voting and getting "involved" still makes a difference. Oh well, if only to open another mind.

Look - in this country we are given a choice between two different parties. Occasionally, if able to get by the restrictions of the voting preliminaries, a third party might get on the ticket but thanks to monopolies on mass media and an infinite supply of financial backing - the two party system will forever dominate.

Now understand that these two parties are in fact, the same party - with little things called platforms that they use to divide the America people into fighting about. They never actually fix the issues of these platforms, they only expand upon them to keep people angry and fighting.

The myth you refer to as "getting involved" was busted on multiple occasions by the sheer ignorance of government as a whole. Wars, laws, and actions have been rigorous protested - sometimes by the majority of people - only to be ignored anyway. The system they have created is simply to appease you into thinking you make a difference when in reality - they are STILL going to do whatever the hell they want, whatever is best for them.

I am "flipping out" at the political process so much that I believe and support a revolution to overthrow that corrupt political process because people are so blinded by its flashing lights that they actually think it has substance and can be fixed.

And finally, quit trying to talk for me. Speak for yourself. Don't speak for anyone other than you. I didn't elect you and you don't have a right to speak for me.

Who is speaking for who? My opening post gave you a choice - you either support the bill or you don't.

I find it ironic that you would bring up someone speaking for you, when this bill insures just that - government speaking and making the choice to have health care FOR YOU. You want to claim about someone "talking for you" then complain about that. Your choice to believe, say, or choose whatever it is you want SHOULD be yours. Don't blame me because YOUR "elected officials" are taking that away from you.

I sure as hell didn't elect them in.

No...no you didn't. Your "plans" are naive at best. You THOUGHT you had some good ideas...until I pointed out that they they are simply illogical and wouldn't work. You have still dodged my question about how you would implement no pre-existing conditions without a mandate. You are dodging it...because you know I'm right.

I made an outline, a rough draft - it is a series of points where this information gets filled in under the header titles.

Yes..and that is where those 100 words turns into 100,000 words. Things aren't as simple as you seem to think they are. You tend to simplify EVERYTHING you talk about...this is where me and you have issues. I work with specifics, details, and see the complexity in things. You are vague and simplistic.

Direct answer: NO.

Then you admit you wouldn't implement minimum standards for insurance...so your "interstate selling" of insurance is flawed. But you won't admit it. So far...your "simple" 4 step plan has 2 steps that you didn't think through...and wouldn't work...but still..you won't admit it.

The burden of proof isn't on me because I have no desire to prove anything to you because you are the only one bothering to ask.

I never expect you to prove anything...I have come to know that you really can't prove anything you say.

This is quite funny. In fact this statement shows that you are either threatened by me

Did I ever say I had it all figured out? Why so vague? Did I say it or not?

You IMPLIED you had it all figured out. Don't run your mouth if you aren't willing to back it up. You WILL be called on any statement you make...so be prepared to back it up...or look ignorant when you can't.

I am a simple man, a patriot who loves this country til my dying death

People usually don't define THEMSELVES...their actions define themselves. So far...the only thing you have done is advocate violence against constitutionally elected officials. I don't know what others call people who advocate violence against innocent Americans...but I'm pretty sure it isn't "patriot".

This is most comical of all because it is the same THREE people who keep claiming I state no specifics or I fail to answer questions... yet MAGICALLY everyone else understands JUST FINE!

We say it because it is true. And I it's easy to get lemmings to follow you without question...do you notice that when we question you...none of your little internet revolutionary friends come to back you up or to provide specifics for you??? I wonder why that is? Maybe they are as clueless about the details as you are.

The Stalker Three - the legendary trio of OutKast Searcher, whaa, and whatukno

We are pretty awesome...but stalkers...nah. More like fact checkers...that is more accurate.

If you need somebody to show you your shackles then you are already a blind slave. Find them yourself.

In other words...you don't know...and are dodging the question....once again. It's actually a very simple question for someone who intends to start a revolution over the answer to this question I ask you all the time. And yet...you don't have an answer...maybe that should tell you something.

3 days later and the country is still here. It's not tearing itself apart (any more than before), and anarchy isn't rampant.

Did I say it would be? If I did please state it.

Ummmm...the title of this thread is "Today will mark the end of America". It kind of sounds like you said it. Why backtrack now?

I feel like I relive the same sequence of events every day in my life because every day I have to explain the concept to someone who actually believes that voting and getting "involved" still makes a difference. Oh well, if only to open another mind.

This coming from the 21 year old THAT HAS NEVER VOTED.

You have never voted, you don't have a job, you don't own a business, you don't support a family (pretty sure you said you don't have a family...wife/kids), and YOU HAVE NEVER VOTED....but YOU know what is best for America...YOU know what is best for an employee providing for their family, YOU know what is best for a business owner, YOU know what is best for a father who is worrying about the future of their kids, YOU know that it is time for a revolution...BUT YOU WON'T GIVE DETAILS AS TO WHY.

I don't think you get it...there is no substitute for experience. You don't know the problems of the country...you have never experienced them. Sorry if this seems harsh...but it's something I thought you should hear. I'm not just completly discounting your opinion because of your age...but you have no perspective...you have no experience...and you can't compensate for that...you can't substitute anything in place of it.

More and more and more of the same pointless going ons...

No...no you didn't. Your "plans" are naive at best. You THOUGHT you had some good ideas...

No, I said I had common sense. I listed the main issues that need to be focused on. I'm still not getting where you claim I said I had all the answers.

You have still dodged my question...

I have not "dodged" your question, I have simply refused to answer it because I do not want to. If I wanted to, I would research the issue and get back to you, but I don't want to - because I have NOTHING to answer to YOU for.

Yes..and that is where those 100 words turns into 100,000 words.

Maybe 1000 words but 100,000? Under four headings? That wouldn't be very organized now would it?

Things aren't as simple as you seem to think they are. You tend to simplify EVERYTHING you talk about...this is where me and you have issues. I work with specifics, details, and see the complexity in things. You are vague and simplistic.

Did I NOT say that I was a simple man? If I was here to prove something to someone, trust me, I would be more than capable of doing the research and defending my point but you don't see me debating on such things too often. Do you know why? Because I have better things to do with my time.

I'm not here to CONVERT anybody as I've said in the past. I am here to open people's minds to their OWN conclusions so that they can do their OWN research and figure things out on their OWN. Anyone capable of doing such should be able to look past words of mine that are opinion and form their own.

...but still..you won't admit it.

What do you want me to admit? What would make you feel jolly and cheerful on the inside?

"I'm sorry good sir, I over simplified my crude example of a health care plan and because you assume that I have 'all the answers', and I could not provide them, therefore I was wrong."

There is a reason I'm not a politician nor do I plan to be one under the current system.

I never expect you to prove anything...I have come to know that you really can't prove anything you say.

I didn't realize that I have stated something as fact in which I need to "prove" anything. The moment I find something that I need to "prove" I will gladly to the research and provide that to all who ask. However, as I stated before, I tend to stray away from such because even with all the proof in the world - there are still going to be those imbeciles who will refuse to look past their own selfishness.

You IMPLIED you had it all figured out.

You are the only one who seems to think so.

You WILL be called on any statement you make...so be prepared to back it up...or look ignorant when you can't.

Oh don't worry, I have gotten quite used to this. Every statement I make shall be skewed, taken out of context, be remarked upon using endless fallacies, and most of all - will be personally attacked because I know the 'agenda' of those who would indeed choose to.... 'stalk' me.

People usually don't define THEMSELVES...their actions define themselves.

But yet you don't know me. You don't know my actions. I am a patriot by definition. Look it up. You assume where there is no place for assumptions.

advocate violence against constitutionally elected officials

advocate violence against innocent Americans

Reread my threads again. Care to state, in context since I'm sure you MIGHT be able to find a comment taken completely out of context where I said such things, where exactly I advocated such?

I advocate violent revolution. However, should you have read ANY of my threads you would realize that I advocate violence only in the name of self defense. If you fail to see the difference then perhaps you should reread my words again and again until you do, because I assure you - there is a large difference between what I call for and violent rampages against random, innocent people.

We say it because it is true.

You say it because it doesn't go along with YOUR opinions. You can't STAND my opinions. Have you noticed... that whenever any of you decide to attack by beliefs and opinions the only response you get is me defending myself?

That is because I don't care what opinions you have. I don't care what beliefs you hold. I'll even go so far as to say I respect them. You can't say that. You and the other who would attack me would find it IMPOSSIBLE to just say "Oh hey, that guy thinks differently then us so let's respect that!" No. Isn't possible.

Why? Because whenever someone comes along that thinks something different than you, that believes in something different then you - you become threatened by it. You do everything in your power to eliminate that opposing believe because as long as that is there - is is a threat to the conforming to what YOU belief.

YOU are the problem with this country - you and everyone else who would choose not to respect the views, beliefs, and actions of another. I have never committed a crime in my life and yet you treat me like a criminal because of my words because you are threatened by them.

YOU know that it is time for a revolution...BUT YOU WON'T GIVE DETAILS AS TO WHY.

For the record I do own my own business. But here you are telling me that you believe me to be "all knowing" once again... but I'm not. Never claimed to be. Never will.

No matter how hard I try to explain it to you again and again, you will never get it.

It isn't about me knowing whats best for people... it is about the people themselves knowing what is best for them. It is clear that you will never understand this concept because you could never understand the concept of living with your own complete free will. Others see it immediately, some find it harder... others will flat our refuse to even TRY to see it.

I may not have had the first hand experiences of some... but I have shared in those experiences. I have observed from afar and close by... I have seen the underbelly of this country probably more than you would ever have liked to. It is high time you realized once and for all that this revolution I want to fight for isn't just about me. It isn't just about you. It is about everybody. It is about giving every single person in this country the chance that they deserve, the chance that they are deprived of and controlled from the moment they are born.

This system, this corrupt system floats over the heads of everyone weighing down on them. It consumes lives. It disintegrates the mind. In quells imagination and intuition. It attacks choice. It limits advancement. It conforms individualism.

This battle is much bigger than the beliefs of you or me and I realize that. This is about each and every single person who deserves better - who deserves to know what life is like WITHOUT limitation and regulation. It is only when we escape from such bonds of serfdom and control that we will ever be able to realize our true potential.

I may not have the experience, no. But I have a voice. And with that voice I have the power to spread a message. With that message I plan to open peoples minds to the possibilities of what true freedom is because unlike what you believe... true freedom isn't something that you can define. It is a perspective.

As long as I have this voice, and as long as I have the will to keep going, there will be no one... and there will be no words that will ever stop me from going. I pray that one day even YOU will one day see your full potential.

So now you don't like the 1st Amendment to the constitution? Last time I checked it was a right that we had to disagree with each other.

Just in case you missed it, in each and every reply box is this little gem...

Who Can Post? All users can post new topics and Administrators can reply.

It doesn't say All users except OutKast Searcher, whaa, and whatukno. But if you want, you could make up your own forum, and anyone that disagrees with you, you can ban. That way, you don't have any dissenting voices which you apparently hate.

So, let's check the list of changes that our good friend gwydionblack wants to implement in his revolution.

A complete rewrite to the United States Constitution.

Elimination of the 1st Amendment.

Replacement of the 13th Amendment.

So to sum up our friend gwydionblack plans to start a violent revolution (AKA kill people), Completely throw away the United States Constitution, implement his own constitution, throw away at least the 1st and 13th Amendments to the original Constitution, replace the 13th Amendment with another 13th Amendment.

And people support this idea?

I was going to demolish your post but considering it is completely off-topic and based off insane allegations and absurd assumptions - not to mention the fact that I have already destroyed your logic countless times on the issue - I will instead refer you to my former post which might as well have been written to you as well.

Seriously, you belittle every other poster by throwing out your opinions about me as fact by basically saying they aren't capable of forming their own. You really know how to win over the masses. How's that candidacy of yours going again? Having a porn star represent you now? I liked the bird better.

I respect your opinions and your views on the issues of the imperfections of our government. I do not and will never respect your solution or your goal. There is a big difference.

For the record I do own my own business.

Then you shouldn't go around saying you are unemployed. If you own your own business...you are not unemployed. You may be unprofitable...but you are not unemployed.

I pray that one day even YOU will one day see your full potential.

LOL...if you only knew

The truth striking a nerve is it? Can't take the heat of scrutiny of your posts?

We exposed your ideologies for what they are, and you don't like it, so what is your recourse? Trying to belittle us? Sad man, very sad.

Actually I came to my own opinion just fine. You know how I did it? I read your words. I asked you questions and read your answers. Your idea is ill informed, ignorant, and a fantasy. You talk a great deal but you do not mean any of it.

You are going to stand up for all of us and be the first one to fire or take fire...but not until you see if the world ends in 2012 first. You care so much about this cause you claim to feel so strongly for...but you are going to wait for a few more elections and 3 years to go by first.

Pfffffffft.

Thanks for implying that 3 people run the opinions on this board but it just is not true.
