Are they all republican?
Are they all racist?

38 out of 52?That's a majority right?

The article you linked is in regards to 2nd Amendment issues and doesn't mention anything at all about Obamacare.

First link is a guy on C-SPAN talking about "Virginia's and Idaho’s efforts to block the health insurance mandate included in the health care bill."

They are trying to block the part of the law which forces people to buy insurance.

Second link is "38 state attorneys" filing "pro-Second Amendment Supreme Court briefs"

This thread is stupid and misleading.

/edit btw, 38 out of 50 states isn't necessarily a majority of people.

The top 10 states account for >50% of the entire US population.

It's not racist (that was sarcasm).
It's a majority of the states in this country that don't want obama/soros unioncare.

Maybe if it was real reform instead of the government muscling out insurance companies so they can take their share of the profits it would pass here too?
By the way how did that work out for England?

I think his point is that it's overwhelmingly obvious that a large portion of America does not want to receive healthcare this way.

Good. This bill is so ridiculous...it goes way beyond health care reform. It's insanely expensive and it's unconstitutional. Nobody should be forced to buy health care insurance if they don't want to.

I am all for health care reform (i.e. getting rid of the anti-trust exemption that insurance companies now enjoy, making it illegal for insurance companies to deny insurance policies to those with pre-existing conditions illegal, etc..). I worked in the health care industry for 17 years, and I know it needs reform...we all do. But what this bill is proposing to do is go way beyond health care reform.

It would be soooo much cheaper if they just started out by removing the anti-trust exemption that health insurance companies enjoy (and abuse) right now.

Nobody should be forced to buy health care insurance. We should however, be able to buy health insurance if we have a pre-existing condiiton. If its illegal to discriminate against race, why can't it be illegal to discriminate against pre-existing health conditions??

What we should do is make this a discrimination issue....not a health care issue. Because that's what it is...discrimination. If we had any senators or congressman that weren't completely in the pocket of the health insurance companies, maybe one of them would have had the balls (or the ovaries) to propose a law making it illegal to discriminate against a person's genetic predisposition....whether that is race, color, creed, or pre-existing health conditions.

But, they have all been bribed or bought...so therefore, instead, we get this ridiculous bill that will make the insurance companies even richer.

You know , there used to be a time in American History when it's citizens took Pride in being self sufficent . Working hard to raise a family and earn a decent living were utmost on peoples minds as being one of the ways to achieving the " American Dream " . When the need came for Medical Treatment for a member of the family , it was usually paided for in either Bartered Goods or Cash Money . Americans do not like to be Beholden to anyone as a selfevident sign of being a citizen in a Free Country . When their Federal Goverment starts Dictating to them about any issue , then it's time to make their Voices and Displeasure heard in the Voting Booth and through Organized Activeism . ..........Just a reminder here for those who might have forgotten that ........:up
