U.S. Senator John McCain on Thursday warned that Saturday's protests were a test of the Kremlin's tolerance for dissent. "The eyes of the world
will be watching," he said at the Senate.
Have you heard of the reasons the protestors have given for protesting:

But now with the economy in deep trouble, there is real fear amongst ordinary people about what the future will hold, he says.
He adds that unemployment is rising rapidly, as are the prices of basic food and utilities.
The protest was joined by a local group angered by higher tariffs imposed on cars imported to the city.
The region has thrived on the car import business and the government's decision has led to job losses, correspondents say.
McCain is probably stating that it's a test for the Kremlin to deal with those people angry at job losses, who were fairly poor in the first place,
and were hardest hit by inflation of food prices. If food prices double in the west, we can just about cope, but at some stage if inflation
continues, there will be tests for western governents as well to see how they deal with it.
We know McCain doesn't like the Russian's, so he's going to milk every opportunity to criticise their handling of these problems.
In a way, the global recession did begin in the US, so the tests we've all endured can be significantly blamed on the greedy bankers in the US
mortgage market, not the CIA.
