I agree wholeheartedly with the OP - Republicans, nor taxpayers can defeat this upcoming bill - but God can - if He so chooses.

But I doubt He is going to hear any significant amount of prayers - not with billions of His children boldly denouncing Him and His Bible.

This may seem like a silly post but it is not. I have heard people say, Don't pray for your country. Like God is so angry at your country that you are not even supposed to pray for it. But our country is a victim. We didn't give birth to the Nazis who are running our government. They crept in by stealth.
Toward the end of World War II people were having days of prayer and fasting all over. They were getting on their knees before God in tears asking him to save their world. We are in the same boat today.
So the Bible says at the end of the world, the anti-Christ will take over. So what. We don't know for sure if this is then. We should be standing up for what is right against clear evil. Obama care is evil and smells of fascism. These death panels are death panels. If we brush them aside and pretend we don't mind, we will usher in the kind of pragmatism that the
Germans practiced, the pragmatism that says the ends justify the means, if millions have to die horrible deaths, so be it. That is not the America I want to see. You can make light of the death panels but deciding who lives and who dies is a power that is so easy to corrupt your head would spin.
Pray for your country. Fast and pray. Pray that these evil monsters who are pushing health care and pushing the destruction of our free society will stumble and fall, will fall into their own traps.

God is good. This is the first thing you learn in Sunday School. God hates liars. That is in the Bible. Jesus loves you. He doesn't wish destruction on you. If you see destruction coming you need to pray for your country.

It says in the Bible, Cast your cares on Him because He careth for you. It says to pray for your rulers. But America is a democracy. It is ruled by the people. So pray for the people. Al Qaeda under cover of attending Columbia University. He won't reveal his transcripts at Columbia and its hard to find people who saw him there. Her friend's brother gave her his truck, saying that he just felt that God was telling him to.
Christians like to take verses of the Bible and call them promises. You stand on a promise and trust God for it.

I can remember going to prayer meetings that were praying for the 2000 election. When Bush won they all thought their prayers were answered. They didn't know about the rigged voting machines with negative votes. They also probably weren't aware of the Bush family's involvment with JFK. I can remember, I was the only democrat there, being told that God was opposed to the democrats because they wanted to take away responsibility from the individual and usher in socialism.
