Against all logic, common sense, and love of ponies, I was finally sucked in by my other half.

So here I stand, a bird fanatic, genetics student, and avid reader of anything that crosses my line of sight.

My eventual goal is a PhD in molecular biosciences with a focus in genetics. Sadly, that day seems to loom ever distant in my future. I will get there eventually.

I ride horses, and my husband and I have a thoroughbred gelding named Tommy.

I am also terrible at introduction posts, so if you desperately want to get to know me to the point of stalking me (which I do not expect will happen), you will most likely find me in the science area.

I had one to care for for four months named Charlie when I was 14.

I could talk to him and he understood.

I can't for the life of me concoct a horse-related conspiracy, dangit, although I have wondered since the age of 6 why the frog of a horse's hoof is called a 'frog'. Perhaps a stay at the Holiday Inn........

Oh, that one is easy. Horses domesticated us, allowing for an increase in warfare, which means that we will eventually kill ourselves in an all out war. Then horses can rise as the dominant species. Of course they will be wearing kilts, because evil horses without kilts is just plain silly.

Oh, and I am working on my avatar right now. I could have David Tennat (who would be lovely to look at every single time I come on the forum...), but I am opting for a more personal avatar. :3

It's great that many couples are on ATS sharing their experiences and participating instead of being written off or dismissed (my own partner thinks this is a "phase" I am going through - little does she know that she is the phase ... lol)
