Blahblahblah, we are all going to die. Blahblahblah, you are all slaves. Blahblahblah, your government is evil supreme, and you are clueless dolts dancing at their puppet string, etc. ad naseum.

And as horrible and evil and tragic as you try to make it sound, every day, somewhere in the world, true tyranny, slavery and despair is occurring. America has it made in the shade. You can get up, call your boss, tell him to screw off, quit your job, go picket up a sign that says "I hate our President, he sucks!," and walk up and down in front of the White House. You can then go to the beach, or see a movie, or do some fine wining and dining, while true suffering and sorrow happens around the globe. You try to tell everyone that freedom of speech is utterly dead, while sites in this country continue to exist, that in other countries, would get those who created them shot in the head.

There is political corruption, there are issues with the government, there are problems all over the place. But like the angsty, emo teens of today, you go on as if you are scheduled to be shot at dawn for suggesting our political system is unjust, while people in other countries WILL be shot for saying just that. You have no concept of reality, just your own biased, selfish viewpoint.

EVERY person in EVERY country feels their government treats them unjustly and unfairly. But government and law needs to exist. And it's nothing new that you or anyone else always feel that they can do it better. ALWAYS. Not realizing that no matter what you decide, no matter what you do, you will always anger someone. A political group, a race, a sex, an age group, a religion, parents, gays, straight folks, pro life, pro choice, gun lovers, gun haters.. you cannot win.

I just go so sick of the "Omg we are SO REPRESSED OMG!" posts. You have no clue what it is to be set upon by your government. NONE. You are living in some bizarre fantasy world where you feel you should get to do anything you want, to whomever you want, and not a single person in authority should have a say, ever. What a laugh. Get some perspective. Go live somewhere else, where they actually DO have hard lives, and then come back here and try to convince us how terrible we have it in comparison.

You seem to think everyone hates this country and our President, and our government, and our law enforcement. Not everyone does, go figure. Some of us have an idea of what "bad" really is. And this country isn't it.

once again your demonstrating you inability to see past the micro and into the macro. you logic is based on a very limited understanding of your reality. you equating eating crab with living well? all your demonstrating is what you deem a good life is your not making any actual counter arguments to the OP. stay on topic. You either agree, disagree, or dont care either way.

if you agree then you know whats going on. if you dont then you havent seen enough to convince you yet. if you dont care your probably too busy eating crab or watching sports or trying to get a better car than you neighbor. and playing the game in general thinking that your free and that there is a goal and a prize. ironically Gaol as opposed to Goal means to jail.

You are truly sad indeed, and I pity you more than I should, because something must have happened so horrible in your life that you feel that nothing is worth fighting for, yes? I will not flame you as many others have, because I can see what you are saying from a certain point of view. But I will not agree with you at all on your statements.

What you cease to understand is that there is still some good in this world that is worth fighting for. You have just decided to cash in your chips and start licking boots. Well, there are plenty of us out there that will not take kindly to this. You say the enemy is too big, you say that there is no hope, you say that we are all slaves to "the system." I disagree. Four men heard all those words before when they founded this Nation. I'm sure at times that they felt hopeless and without cause to keep going on. Yet they did. The persevered. They fought. They bled. They watched their countrymen die along side of them. But they did not give up. This generation will be the one to make or break the fate of not only our Nation but of the world. This generation is the last hope that future ones have for having a truly free life. If we have to sustain freedom through the price of blood, so be it. I will not give up without a fight, and neither will many not only in this country, but around the world. I only hope that you come to your senses some day and realize that, like I said, there is still some good in this world worth fighting for.

Don't give up so easily, because it is far too tempting to do at this point in our history.

But then again, maybe you are just another troll looking for a rise out of people to serve your own twisted sick sense of humour. I feel pity for you on that account too. Go hike a mountain, or go swimming in a cool mountain stream, or go sky diving, and tell me that there isn't anything left worth fighting for.

They will not come if we fight it. They might have the money, but we have the enduring human spirit that has kept our race alive for eons. Sounds like you already lost yours.

I would ask you to reconsider littering these boards with your rhetoric, because it's truly toxic, but I have a feeling you won't.

But I will support your right to say it, because I still believe in that "piece of toilet paper" you call the Constitution.

This is passionately written and somewhat entertaining, Empire. I imagine you somehow feel better for writing it...for getting it out of your system and onto the page before you. It seems like a good bit of spring-cleaning, and like this bit of cleaning it would suggest you would need to do it again. Do it again when the demons dirty your mind through their comings-and-goings. Please do so if you must, but allow me to give you some advice, first.

In essence, you are instructing people to accept your momentus disclosure and accept their fate within it. But what you are apparently failing to notice is that not everyone on here is riddled with your sickness, and as such not willing to accept your sickness within them. And it is not the sickness of the issue you have spewed onto this post - even though spewing and vomiting comes with some distress and malfunctioning within the body - but the genesis of the arguments you are deperately trying to grasp and help alleviate in us. "The Powers To Be" and such talk all stems from an origin of psychological discovery and knowledge you are presently lacking.

I would suggest you go and start reading the Masters of Philosophy and Psychology - from start to finish - and see what they had to say on the topics you've raised so crudely. Then, paint yourself into the landscape of metaphysical understanding this knowledge holds, and then write something similar but from a more refined and knowledgeable perspective.

Look at it as NOT reaching for the lowest common denominator.

I look forward to your next piece of work.

The point I have been trying to make is that America is not dead... there is still opportunity out there for everyone. You can make it, I see it all the time.

There is opportunity to make money, I’m in a growth industry, but I also know this country is finished, and that trying to fight this machine will simply do no good. Like TiM3LoRd is telling you guys, you have no clue how extensive this beast is, how long it has been alive and the inner workings.

I personally know people that came here 5 or so years ago with only the shirts on their back, now have a home, family, good job or own a business. It took lots of hard work and scrimping and saving.

Slaves.

As for being a slave, there is always gonna be a bigger fish...law of nature. But many are a slave to masters of their own making.

And who are our masters? The people who tell us what to purchase? The people who sell us our BMW’s and Lexus’? The people who tell us funding for education is getting cut and class sizes will increase?

Enjoy the opportunities offered, enjoy and live each day, and when/if someone or something comes to take it away...fight for it. Don't just fall over and watch them eat you alive like a docile sheep. Fight, you might just win.

Fight for what? The opportunity to have better food? To drive a better car? Ok, so I have those things, but what about my fellow man who is living in poverty and barely has enough to eat? What about the young woman prostituting herself because she can’t afford a meal or because she’s hooked on heroin?

Who says I’m pissed off? I’m not pissed off. I’m calling it how it should be called, nothing more. I’m accepting things for what they are, pissed people usually don’t do such a thing. In regards to crab, again, you most likely have never travelled outside your comfort zones if you think steamed crab is the greatest thing since sliced bread. I’m in the bay area of California, in SF there are plenty of crab spots, and on average, every weekend someone is throwing a crab feed in the bay area. It’s common here, so is beer, so relax and address the points being presented.
What would be freedom to you?


Freedom is one of two things.

1. DEATH.
2. A lie we’ve been told to pacify us and allow us to escape reality for a limited time.
