Since the US is already broke...

then why do you even care about the cost of the healthcare bill?
The debt, with the falling dollar, is beyond recovery in my honest opinion, so why not get at least a healthy America before the SHTF?

If the money is spent in order to offer everyone free or affordable healthcare like people enjoy in Europe then GO FOR IT!

Surely it is better than the current system, like people left to die on the streets because not many would like to pay his hospital bill?
I guess most people here live comfortably and are oblivious to the health of millions on Americans, so why not just let them have a better standard of life and get the many advantages this would bring?

And please quit being so scared of what might or might not happen!
from my understanding, if you dislike the plan you can stay with your big private insurer and people won't pay more taxes for it. Not to mention than Americans already pay the same taxes for less efficient Medicare?
