you ba......rd.
thats all i can say about your post.
its okay to kill a few monkeys horrifically is it? so long as it saves a few humans?
hope the aliens never get hold of you and put you in a cage, do experiments on you or accidentally boil you alive as happened to the monkeys.
still, it will all have been for a good cause won't it, so long as the aliens get cured as a result of whatever research you were used for.
torture is never justified.
I didn't say killing animals horrifically is ok. It's sad...truly sad. The forementioned monkeys weren't tortured, they died in an accident.
Animals we eat daily live far worse lives and die far worse deaths. Rabbi's slit throats of animals and bleed them out and claim it "painless".
The poor cow can't say "ow" with a slit-throat.
I don't promote animal cruelty. It churns my stomach to see and hear of any animal suffering. I don't like pit-fighting, bull-fighting, animal
abuse/neglect..etc..
I will still eat at McD's, KFC, Fish'nChips, Texas T Steakhouse, etc.. as will most of the people on this thread. I will also still support and not
condemn scientists who use animals for research.
These monkeys died from an accident..not intentional cruelty. Some employee may very well deserve a reprimand or a change in duties or yes even loss
of his/her job if it clearly is his/her fault. It could have also been mechanical failure of some kind.
The research facility does not need to be shut down, the research does not need to stop, and we can still mourn the terrible deaths of the animals in
the accident. We can mourn and thank animals that die in research for us. If there are better immediate alternatives than animal testing, then by
all means we should be using them, assuming those methods apply to every type of research needed.
I'm not a monster, but I'm no hypocrite either.
