Boss would rather hire paedophiles than former soldiers , page 1

This guy's stirred up quite a furor over in England. He says he'd rather hire paedophiles, ex drug dealers and convicts than a former soldier.

He says the former criminals have at least paid their debt to society whereas the soldiers got away with murder and don't have to answer to anyone for their actions.


He sounds a little like some of the folks around here...

Boss Karl Winn would rather hire paedophiles than former soldiers

A BOSS caused outrage by saying he would rather employ a paedophile than former servicemen or women.

Karl Winn, 60, said that "ex-drug dealers, convicts and child molesters" made better employees than war heroes, The Sun reported.

Forces Recruitment Services - which help find jobs for former British military personnel - had emailed Winn inviting him to consider taking on ex-servicemen and women at the Webeurope design company he runs in Taunton, Somerset.

Winn, a former social worker, replied: "Personally, I'd rather recruit ex-drug dealers, convicts and even child molesters rather than consider anybody who has been in the pay of the British Government.


"Anybody who has been in the pay of such a military force, and by their silence and complicity has condoned such illegal and immoral actions while accepting a monthly blood-stained pay-packet, certainly will not be considered for employment by us!

"Please remove us from your email list. Regards, Karl."



Winn later issued a media statement to clarify his views.

"Ex-pedophiles and drug addicts who have been charged and paid the price for their actions deserve a chance to get on with their lives. In my opinion, military personnel who have got away with murder do not," he said.

I can understand his opinions on the wars being criminal but, IMO the soldiers are victims of the policies of their rulers who are the real criminals.

Still, I have to admire him for sticking to his principals, even in the face of public ridicule.

Again do not forget it is the adults of the world that are making the world what it is. If that is innocent to you or anyone else I would hate to see what guilty is.

and if we ´adults´ made the world, this f*cking rock would look a whole lot different according to me.
saying that we as adults all shape the world is delusional in my book.
but next time keep the namecalling etc. to yourself.
express your opinion (it's what this board is for) and move on. if you get asked to elaborate on your point of view, make sure that you do.
just don't resort to namecalling.

People aren't arrested for being pedophiles, Kailassa. They are arrested for ACTING on their pedophillic thoughts. So you're correct, there's no known way to substantially change one's sexual interests - however, the owner is still correct in saying that they have paid for their crimes. I'm not saying they'd make good employees, now...

I never resorted to name calling. I said it is delusional to believe in an innocent adult. If you take that as name calling, well I cannot help you in your travels, I can only tell you there is no name calling involved in my post.


As for being asked to elaborate on any of my posts I do not need anyone’s permission to do so as I am an adult and quite able to express my opinion. Nor do I need to be told to move on my anyone as I need no nanny.

Again it was simply opinion not name calling. If you feel offended by it though by all means report the post. As I said delusion is running free in adults around the world. The lack of innocence and the mastery of delusion have given us the world we have. Yes all adults are doing something to shape the world we live in. They do it through political ways, art work, and how their children are raised. Innocent adult is an oxymoron.

i thought you called me an oxymoron.
however i still stand by my opinion, the same people giving you their ´rights´ are taking other´s rights away.
these rights everybody keeps talking about should be basic living principles, there shouldn´t have to be millions of casualties to ensure these rights.

Child Molesting is never ever a crime of passion, it’s always planned.

Pulling the trigger on a tank or plane or gun against civilians is always unjustified.

How could anyone tell the difference unless they could read the mind of the prospective employee if they were a true "Warrior" or a cold blooded murderer?

The fact that "Drug dealers" is even in the same category as murderers, child rapists, and those who commit atrocities against humanity blows my mind to be honest.

Maybe Crack dealers carrying guns, but if someone smuggles some Hash or weed, or grows some are they even "Wrong" in the first place?

On that basis I wouldn’t then ever employ someone who has served alcohol or sold Tobacco.

My other point on this story was the pedophile thing. He considers a convicted pedophile to be more innocent than an adult who has went to war? This in my views makes this guy a nut case. A convicted pedophile has taken the innocence of a child forget a not so innocent adult killing another not so innocent adult. Pedophiles have no place in society.

i certainly see where you're coming from.
i really do, and he might have screwed himself over by rather hiring pedophiles. (i agree with you on this on)

but on the other hand, i don't want to know how many soldiers take advantage of little girls and women overseas.
i remember a thread from just last weak or so, it contained a vid with graphic material regarding the US troops.
in the vid, one soldier spoke proudly about how he raped a girl and 'pimped her out' for like 50 bucks a time.

i think in the end it all comes down to opinion,beliefs and perception.
obviously we differ opinions but that's allright.
else it would be a boring world.

ps/ My english is reasonable (or at least i like to believe it is, don't get me outta my dream of that's not the case) let me live in my bubble!
but i'm also working on improving my english grammar, as english isn't my primary language.
