"No matter how much the Israelis concede to the Palestinians, they will never (probably ever) concede that Israel has even a right to exist."
Nor will Iran. Israel's position is precarious and tactically inferior. Strategically Israel has no choice but to control the Golan Heights in the
North against Hezbollah attacks (equipped and backed by Iran). The West Bank, east Jerusalem, and the Gaza strip not only unify the hegemony of Israel
geographically but currently act as bases for attacks by Hamas(also backed and armed by Iran) and force Israel to commit forces urgently needed
elsewhere. Israel knows that the Pals will never quit fighting and know that their existence as a Nation is put into more and more jeopardy as both
Hamas, and Hezbollah, increase their armament and numbers. Israel has no alternative but to finally force the Pal civilians out, and then deal with
Hamas in what Israel knows will be a bloody and fierce action. Israel also knows that it will again have to deal with Hezbollah in Southern Lebanon.
(Most likely around the same time)
With all this already on its plate, now, because the current and previous administrations were to dumb and inept to do what needed to be done;
Israel must deal with Iran and its nuclear aspirations.
If I were Israel, I would be building as fast as I could in Jerusalem, sealing the borders to Gaza and the west bank, doing all I could to force the
civilians out, all the while gearing up for a massive coordinated military action against Iran, Hezbollah, and Hamas, all at the same time.
Time has run out folks, Israel has been backed into a corner, and will fight that way. Its time the US stop condemning Israel and start helping them.
