Well who knows Sol. Our teeth are not as big or sharp as early man's were, they dont need to be since we process our food, we dont need to chew huge
chunks of dead things anymore, or raw plant matter.
Food processors, processed food we buy, cooking, means we dont need huge strong teeth and equally large jaw musculature.
I wouldn't call it 'devolution' as such though, just a continuation of evolution.
What happens astronauts muscle tone after days or weeks or months of zero gravity? It gets soggy, slack from lack of use. We dont have tails anymore
but we did, we retain the coxyx (*spell?)
Not sure how this relates to smaller brain size though, if it does at all.
