Any missile or air attack launched from Iran would be intercepted by our missile defense systems in Iraq.

What if Iran, Iraq, Yemen, Oman, Afghanistan, Pakistan, Syria, and Jordan got their acts together and created a Middle Eastern Union with the main goal of obliterating Israel? Iraq and Afghanistan surround Iran, Israel's main enemy. Taking over these two countries provides adequate bases in optimal striking range of Iran, Russia, and China for our military, while keeping the Islamic nations from creating a Middle Eastern Union.
