Clip from article: Former Alaska governor and GOP vice-presidential candidate Sarah Palin blamed out-of-touch Washington elites with trying to foist an ill-advised healthcare overhaul on Americans that betrays the nation’s traditional ideals, principles, and values.

Source: newsmax.com...

For the Palin haters, read. A different prespective then what the MSM post. She is not to be underestimated.

For the Palin likers: Here is the person that you believe the masses will turn to come 2012 and her message. Enjoy.

I think it is a great article that shows/demostrates what her message is.

PALIN 2012. You bet ya.

Jesus, you cannot even post a comment without vitriol. Well, I will just say the article was extensive and covered a lot of information. It was not the normal talking points.

I will say one thing though. If Palin or the Republicans want my vote, they will have to do one thing more besides the standard bullet points.

Defend the US, not the world. Quit the wars of submission. Yes, I do believe the defense of the US is important, but not the world. Let them be there own damn police.

Return to the DAMN Constitution Palin and the US will follow you, otherwise you are just another sock puppet as Obama is.

I've gotta say, your post piqued my hopes that Palin may have turned over a new leaf, educated herself on significant political issues, and brought forth some substance to her appearances. Unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case. It's merely another "pep-rally" filled with same old tired left/right talking points, and the usual slew of ad hominem attacks with no real alternative solutions offered.

It's sad that she betrayed her commitment to Alaskans, only to make a quick buck, join the MSM, and become a frivolously paid cheerleader for a fringe political minority.

I'd hoped for more but the title really did sum it up "Sarah Palin Lashes Out at Liberals, D.C. and Media". Just the same old divisive and jingoistic political rhetoric with nothing new to see.

Sarah Palin is trying to align herself with the Tea Party. I do not think they will put up with her for long. She talks the talk, but can she walk the walk? That, friends, is the question.

Sarah Palin is no conservative.

SARAH PALIN IS A FLAMING LIBERAL!

Consider:

• Taxes and Big Government: Sarah Palin fought hard for $400 million in federal funding for a so-called "bridge to nowhere" to allegedly improve the lives and fortunes of 50 or so inhabitants of an Alaska island. Taxing many to provide for a few -- that’s what tax-and-spend liberals are all about.

• Sex Education: Sarah Palin's VP campaign spokesperson said that Palin "supports sex education in terms of teaching of contraceptives and everything" and that she doesn't support "abstinence-only" education. This is in direct conflict with the conservative values of most Republicans, who took her previous statement that "explicit sex-ed programs will not find my support" out of context. Clearly she only meant that she does not want X-rated pornography in the classroom. That, at least, should provide conservatives (AND liberals) some consolation.

• Environment: In a move to protect Alaska's elk and moose herds from dangerous predators and to help maintain a steady food supply for Alaska's needy hunters, Sarah Palin encouraged citizens to fly around in airplanes shooting and killing wolves, and even offered bounties for their left-front forelegs. That's the kind of "it takes a village" community organizing liberals are known for, and yet another example of left-wing environmentalists interfering with nature.

• Subsidized Housing: Like any true liberal, Sarah Palin believes in subsidized housing for people too lazy to work and pay their own bills. For example, the State of Alaska paid Gov. Palin nearly $17,000 for staying in her own home 312 nights during her first nineteen months in office.

• Free Public Transportation: Sara Palin believes that the working poor should also have free public transportation to go to the welfare office to pick up their checks. That's why the State of Alaska paid her nearly $45,000 in transportation costs to shuttle her husband and kids around the state.

• Creeping Socialism: Every year, Alaska takes money from hard working oil companies and gives it away to freeloading citizens. Sarah Palin recently increased the amount of this massive redistribution of wealth to $3200 per resident, meaning a family of seven like hers gets $22,400 per year just to sit around and drink beer instead of working. All is not lost, though. Oil companies at least get to deduct these stolen profits from their federal income taxes as a cost of doing business in Sarah Palin's Marxist Liberal Utopia.

Clearly John McCain has missed the mark with his VP pick. Barack Obama should think about bringing Sarah Palin on board to help promote his socialist agenda.

Fringe political minority? Obama steals the election with the help of acorn and now Republicans are a "fringe political minority"? This illustrates the liberal tactic of marginalizing their opposition with rhetoric like this. Wait til November, you'll see how "fringe" the right is.

The only reason Palin is using bullet points is so that indoctrinated robot libs like you will be able to understand and hopefully wake up from their trance.

By the way, I am not saying Palin is the answer here, just saying you're pretty quick to characterize the Tea Party (if that's who you refer to) as fringe, when it's made up of dems and republicans alike, people tired of big government trying to control every aspect of our lives and taking us to death. Stop watching the MSM and believing everything you hear and see. Wakey wakey.

Google Bill Whittle at PJTV. He has some interesting things to say about the tea party and the republican party that make a lot of sense. Pretty much everything he says makes sense, if you have a brain that's not polluted with public school liberalism, that is.

Yes, a fringe political minority.

It's general knowledge, and has already been mentioned by autowrench, that Palin has worked hard to try to align herself with the Tea Party movement (you can easily find her Tea Party appearances and pandering with a simple google search), and before she betrayed her commitment to Alaskans she also had a record of opposing Alaskan Republicans on issues as well.

Since you've chosen to argue your own straw man logical fallacy here (claiming I've attempted to paint "Republicans" as a fringe minority when I've done no such thing), you clearly didn't comprehend my post, or are intentionally trying to spin the discussion to a non-existant issue. Either way, neither is worthy of much of a response, but do I suppose it's a lot harder to try to throw around insults like "indoctrinated robot lib" without injecting your own words/assumptions into someone elses mouth first.

In short, while some Tea Party members are Republicans, not all Republicans are Tea Party members; so you can save your broad sweeping partisan paintbrush, and your baseless assumptions, for another day.

As to the uncalled for ad hominem attack claiming I'm an "indoctrinated robot lib".... thanks for the laughs. Not everyone who disagrees with Palin is a liberal. In fact, the majority of Republicans I know can't stand her. They want actual policy suggestions just as much as everyone else, not just partisan cheerleading and meaningless drivel like "We want a [healtcare] system that reflects our values, and our principles, and Americans’ love of freedom…. We want solutions that are uniquely American.". Sure it makes for a cute cheerleading sound bite; however, in reality such statements offer up nothing when it comes to policy suggestions, solutions, or substance.

Was I a little harsh ??? ..... probably.

But when a person of this caliber has the audacity to compare herself to one of the greatest presidents in american history.

... well, it just really chaps my hide.

The fact that Sarah Palin has even advanced so far in her political career is quite disturbing, ... and a poor reflection on the american people.

I figured someone would comment on the 1300 in attendance:

From article: Speaking to an enthusiastic crowd of 1,300 Florida Republicans at an Orlando, Fla., fundraiser Friday night.

Not wanting to split hairs nor being a big political player, I took 1300 at a fundraiser as pretty darn good.

As far as comparing herself to POTUS Lincoln, I think that is a stretch-on your part. She, IMO, didn't even attempt to compare herself with Lincoln and his time in office. I think she was merely commenting on how others give themselves reminders etc.

Anyone that can fault her for putting the words on her hand, unless a great public speaker, hasn't Main Speakered before large crowds. Heck, I would have a book written on both hands and up my arms....

But, there is always two sides to a story/issue. As I indicated in my OP, for those who like her and for those who hate her.

As I always say though.... How anyone thinks the USA (and world) got the better end of the deal w/ Obama/Biden, with what we know now, is mind blowing for me. As I also always say, I have had enough of the Brightest, most afflunent, best speaking, BIGGEST B.S.ers that we have now.

I would far rather "start over" with Palin(ism) (not nessassarily Palin if she didn't run but what she has shown as the Common Man running for office).

Also, to another post of yours to this thread: "The fact that Sarah Palin has even advanced so far in her political career is quite disturbing, ... and a poor reflection on the american people".

That statement sir... I can only say either you are not an American(USA) citizen or your failed Civics class. See, in the USA- ANYONE can become POTUS-just ask Obama. You don't have to be a lawyer, rich, connected. One just has to beat the sterotypes ,that you and others like you, to do it-and she is.

I sure wish the MSM and Palin haters would start digging on OBAMA and what he said and ended up doing-or his background like they did hers. He never would have made it to the primaries if they had. You know it and I know it.

Since many believe the " common man" is ignorant as well as dumb,... then yes, Palin would be a good representation of that.

but should our president, not reflect the best of us ?? and be qualified to make the decisions neccesary when required ?? Not some hokey hockey mom who will just " figure it out" when she gets to office.

and no, I am not pro Obama, ... If you beleive america will change with either of the two major canditates you are wrong, .... the two party system is a ruse.

People have to stop eating up all the information their being spoonfed, ... don't you see ? their playing you.

Apologies for the name-calling. My momma taught me better than that. I get pretty steamed up sometimes.

Personally, I wish Palin would step off so the Tea Party can find someone who really represents them. She's not presidential material and I am not a fan. As far as I can tell, Ron Paul is the only one that comes to mind. Everything he says makes perfect sense to me.

Why can't the Republican party come up with a solid candidate anymore? I think Bush 43 really screwed the party good, but give us something, man. They have come up with nothing since, and they don't seem really interested in repairing the damage. I can't see any real effort. I think maybe they are relying too heavily on incumbent democrats to screw up and hold the door open for them on the way out. Anyone else?

Who is she to criticize the media? She found the media to ask too many tough questions. Now she just loves fox news. Oh wait, I forgot... according to Republicans only progressive media outlets are biased... and fox news is not biased. Sigh.
