I have been around the block a couple times, you want this guy off your butt?

Make a label with his name & address, attach it to a Man/Boy magazine, run it through a copier, then send it in anonymously to Win Dixie headquarters.
Add a note that says this pervert is sexually "harassing" you at work.

Then tell them that you are on the verge of contacting the police, State's Atty, and a lawyer, if this doesn't stop.

On a big lawsuit they can't take the chance that it could be true, and they did nothing to stop it. And the big shots care no more for his job, than he does for yours.

Or if you want something simple just to settle up the score, try greasing his car door handle, shifter, radio knobs...and especially don't forget to grease the windshield wipers!

If you have people that try to 'play the game' with ya, you need to teach them the rules...LoL

That is cold blooded!

Wow! Sorry to hear about your boss. He must do some work a little higher up than you know.
I would call a lawyer-especially because you weren't on their computer-then it would be different. Call your lawyer, ask them about the laws of your state-do it again-let him fire you so we can watch the dispute on t.v.!

He cannot tell you which web sites you can or can't visit on your computer and on you own time! Do not let him control you like this. I was so happy when I found this web site- a place where people with the same interests and curiosities can gather and talk about the science behind the cloaks, if we let your boss do this then my boss may too. And where will we all go?

The world is full of curiosity, it's human nature. So we want to know what that light is above Cleveland, OH. So things don't entirely match up in 911. And of course we simply want to know are we alone? When I look up at the stars I feel alone and lonely, I feel like we may be the only people looking up. The people who may/may not have the answers refuse to give us some insight and that's just wrong. It's wrong and inexcusable.
So do yourself a favor, and all of us-stand up for the last ounce of freedom we have.

Have you contacted your labor board for the the state that you reside in?
I would see what advice or direction that they could steer you in.
I feel that your rights are being infringed upon.
You are definately handling this situation in the appropriate way by asking the advice of others first.

anyone who tells you to contact your labor board is someone who has NEVER dealt with a bad employer or the worthless labor board.

All "legality" aside, your employer most likely has thier asses covered.

its YOUR word vs your BOSSES word, which will never hold up in court in your favor.

Your choices are to quit, go along with it, or try to fight it & get fired.

That is the REALITY of it, not the way things "should be"

But too many people here live in "Should be" land and have never taken a visit to reality

i don't know if you have seen michael moore's new movie "capitalism: a love story" but he talks about something called a "dead peasant policy". it is a life insurance policy that some companies such as walmart, winn-dixie, bank of america and some others take out on their employees. in short, you may be worth more to your employer dead than alive seeing that you work at winn-dixie. my advice, try and find another job. your life may depend on it.

If you're being paid during that lunch break he can tell what to do, if you're off the clock during that lunch break he has no right telling you what to do.

If you weren't being paid during that lunch break you could file a complaint with your Union if you belong to one or with the local Labor Board.

Is it possible your boss is part of the Reptilian elite and he doesn't like his employees getting too close to the great secret? I'd suggest setting up a hidden camera in his personal work bathroom (a dead giveaway that he is a Reptilian) and see if you can find any strange behavior in there including drinking from the toilet, eating rodents alive, excessive use of skin lotion, etc...

Once you can establish that he is in fact a Reptilian (which I'm pretty sure of from reading your story) be very careful how move forward with this. Quit your job, move across the state or country and pray he never finds out you filmed him.

The level of infiltration of the Reptilians in our society is mind-blowing.

The way your boss reacted just seemed so...wrong. Since you werent on work related equipment, nor on company time, theres no reason why he should tell you what to do. This is rediculous!

I think that this is a good chance to discuss WHY he thinks sites like ATS distort facts, maybe a different approach is what is needed.

Also you could really annoy him and ask for a list of "Approved Sites" that you can visit.
or sites that are off limits and really ask him for a list so you don't unwittingly visit one by accident.

Act dumb and if he cannot or will not give you a list then go above him, request a list stating that you value your job, outline what he said to you and keep acting dumb, sometimes this can work in your favor.

He might get the wrong reaction or you may get your list, if you do then please post it. Thanks.

Screw him. Get fired and collect unemployment.

Then you can spend all day on ATS

Then go work under the table somewhere.

I see people doing it all the time.

Just an observation from a European.

What I have got out of this thread is how 1950s employment law is in Florida. I cannot believe in 2010 that someone can be sacked on a whim. Try that in Europe and the employer would be under such a big stack of lawyers he would not be able to breath.

My vision of America as the home of the free and the champions of right is somewhat tarnished.

Oh and a Happy Paddy's Day to you all.

Just for reference I don't think there is enough info to make an accurate determination to legality. Florida isn't a right to work state so you can be terminated for any reason at any time. You are on company property, probably in uniform and during normal working hours. No offense but substitute "porn site" for ATS. If I had an employee on his break, that my customers are familliar with, in a public area on my property, around other employees, during business hours, looking at a website which I consider offensive, that my customers may find offensive, well I'd correct him too.

Sorry if that isn't the popular consensus, but I agree with the boss. I know it sucks but you need o look at it from a different perspective. This isn't mainstream. It can be considered offensive. And I wouldn't want a customer to walk by while your reading a post about how christians are idiots. Sorry but my business would come before your free time. Go sit in your car and pull it off the property and look at whatever you want. That's the correct answer.

sorry to hear about it mate

Just so you know, you have workers rights, if he fires you for a political belife, HE (not you) HE can lose his job.

Now a simple manager has no right to fire you over a website, on your computer during your break. here in canada the manger would have lost his job if he fired you...of course america is backwards.

but if you look at history any unchalleneged super power falls into itself, so dont worry america doesnt have much time left 2-15 years (15 being the absoult most)

just remeber if he fires you sue his ass, if that back fires spray piant his car bright pink (or anything else)

HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF

Sorry but everyone's response is simply emotional. You are on property during working hours looking at content in public(it's outside the building so you can be seen by customers) and your boss doesn' approve of it. You don't live in a right to work state. You don't have legal recourse. He can correct you and nobody else. Legally.

Quite simply if you don't like it leave, it's Winn freakin Dixie. Pull off property on your break. Get over it. Your boss maybe be a jackass but he's within his rights.

I even agree with him on a personal standpoint. Maybe I'm a prick too. But if my secratary was sitting on the bench ouside my office while on break looking at web content I disapproved of where my customers can see her, well she's gonna catch hell. God forbid she had on a nametag or a red vest.

This thread has gone on totally too long. over three days, lets get over it already. This boss obviously is a control freak, and a close minded person. We all run into people like this at some point or another. This boss will just have to find out the hard way when he cant figure out why he is getting on a bus in the middle of the night when military troops are ransacking his house. (Next stop: Red Zone at a FEMA camp for you buddy!!!) Trust me no matter how much of a jerk he is to you the ultimate joke is going to be on him some day.

That sort of thing is effective. I did much the same with a TSgt that was being a pain in the butt for no other reason than he could. Had gay porn addressed to him sent to his duty section. The results were hilarious.
