Sounds like a good idea if you're planning on bugging out.

Make sure you have plenty of ammo to protect said crops.

wow people will try to make a buck on any fear what so ever!

lol, you can just take their list, and go down to dollar general or some other place (feed n seed stores) and pick these up for WAY less than 165 bucks!

they are usually $1 for 3 packs of seeds. whatever you want.

if you dont trust it, try growing some like i am to see what you get.

i love these little seed packs mainly because my girlfriend doesnt like to be bought flowers that will just die, yet she loves planting them. for valentines, i got her a huge selection of sunflowers and wild flowers, and to her its way better than a few roses that will wilt soon. also way cheaper too.

If you're interested in this type of thing, then you should just start gardening right now.

You can buy heritage varieties of many different seeds so you'll never have to purchase seeds again.

I encourage people to garden now because it may take you a few seasons to figure out what works and what doesn't.

It's also just a whole lot of fun. I can remember my kids picking beans and peas and eating them as fast as we picked them. Inside the house we could barely get them to tolerate a vegetable on their plates.

i wouldnt be surprised if they were, actually.

the main problem with hybrids, is that most times you cant get seeds out of the plant to replant next crop with.

thats why im doing my test. if these turn out great foods with seeds, then success.

i do know the packets themselves arent really airtight or anything. so you would have to secure these better for long term storage.

but they are so cheap that you could buy many many times the seeds offered here that even if they didnt reproduce seeds, you could still plant for years

i guess ill have an answer later this year, but i would almost put money on these being hybrid. still for 8 bucks i walked out with many many seeds for 15 different varieties

yea whats the point of buying the seeds if you dont even know how to plant, or find out you dont even have the right tools (not like advanced tools are needed for a small garden... still though)?

heirlooms are the best choice, but nearly 200 bucks is quite a lot for some people.

If you bug out where are you going to plant the crops? Planting crops pretty much means you have to be stationary for half of the year. That doesn't exactly fit in with the bug out life style.

Good point but I was thinking those of us fortunate to live out in the country...those in the city must leave if TSHTF.
