The reason for a new thread is because, quake watch is a general thread for quakes, but it doesn't grab your attention when a new big quake happens, if u post a new thread when there is a major quake it is a much more effective way of letting people know, than by just posting in quake watch

I know but this is a mere aftershock, we have seen by far too many threads on the chile earthquakes in my opinion and they should now be placed in the Quake Watch 2010 thread.

We should Not have a new thread everytime we see a big aftershock.

.....it's rather annoying and we have a perfect place for them in the 2010 quake thread. (linked above)

??

Umm Ok, i didn't realize that i needed "to calm down" or anything.

I never even wrote it in any anger whatsoever... it's just my opinion that was all.

So i guess i should apologize if it sounded that way (angry) as it wasn't intended.
