I laughed out loud at there being too much salt in the ocean, well done. But seriously, the banning of salt in restaurants would destroy the amazing and infinitely diverse food culture of NYC, one of the best places in the world to grab a bite. Foodies would riot, people would be licking icy streets in the winter, and crying babies would be unfairly exploited for their salty tears.

You are calling me a moron then? And what kind of education background do you have?

You do not believe salt to be a blood thinner then? GEE NOW what can be the possible consequences if your blood thins and your family possibly has a history of heart problems? You do not need studies to know what common sense can tell you about the issue.

I am paranoid that they dump too much salt into our daily diets honestly. I honestly think Americans eat upwards 500% the daily values of sodium daily and that is why heart disease is the number 1 killer in AMerica.
If you truly believe that the politicians sitting in office (lording over you) REALLY care if you wake up tomorrow morning, then I believe that you are quite naive.

Moron is a strong word to use, as it describes a feeble mind.

I didn't mean for you to take it literally, however if you wish to, let me know.
In that case I will mean it.

Oooh, I forgot to answer your questions:

For the first- Not specifically, but if the shoe fits.....

Question the second- Well.... on the internet, I'm a Rhodes scholar. Ha Ha.

In honest to goodness real life, I am a 47 year old male with NO post secondary education. But I'd like to think I have some common sense.

I also value what few freedoms that I have left here in America, and would hate to have the cops say that I can't have a restaurant put salt in the dough, SO MY PIZZA TASTES GOOD.

HOWEVER, fast food venues should be hit with this salt ban. I think everyone should be surprised at how much sodium chloride they pack food in this day of age. Whenever I read nutritional content the serving sizes are always too small. For instance when giving an "individual" serving size of 5 cookies in a pack the nutritional content is for 2 cookies, for instance. They do the same for drinks too. So if you see a drink that has 15% sodium on the nutritional content label it may be the % sodium for half of the bottle but not the full bottle. So if you were to drink a whole bottle of this supposed drink you would actually get 30% sodium. Take a look one of these days when your drinking your vitamin water or eating your oreo cookies.

WRONG!!! I have a better idea for you fordrew. If you think fast food joints put too much salt in their foods, then just don't go. Real simple. You have a choice and I have a choice. I think that's better than everyone having to live by fordrew's perception. Don't you? Or do you think everyone should live the way YOU want them to live?

A)I don't go to mcdonalds or any fast food, and if I do I partake about once a month.

B)I just stated my opinion on the matter. I do not care if the world should be in my perception because it is not.

YOU ARE JUST putting words in my mouth buddy.

C)and you honestly don't think eating too much sodium won't kill you? I think the americans that die to heart disease every day would like a word with you. The simple fact is that too much salt will thin your blood and over a long period of large sodium consumption (aka eating 500% your daily sodium intake a day) WILL LEAD TO HEART COMPLICATIONS. It is your choice to stay healthy and I do not care about whether you take my opinion or you continue your sodium binges.

As much as I hate politics more than anything in the world they are just trying to save us IN THIS PARTICULAR CASE.
