Simply put...NO. Those people who think it does are aholes, because they are the same ones who didn't open their mouths when the media had all sorts of suggestive photos of bush, NOT TO MENTION, a movie about his assassination. Just typical people cryin over BS....

I would say no, it does not. When your'e a politician, from President to City Councilperson, you put yourself in the position of being criticized.

In times past they would actually throw tomatoes and various other past sell-by date items, this is just a magazine cover.

My point is, if your'e going to climb in the ring, expect to take a hit or two before you climb back out...it comes with the territory.

For the people that want to protect ANY presidents "image" over substance...what are you afraid of?..can't your candidate take it? Politicians need thick skin, you cannot govern if your'e constantly getting your feelings hurt by the populace.

Now, when I first seen the pic, I thought it was basically a big bloodstain from a gun or whatnot...that would be going too far, and no doubt thats what it was supposed to mimic at first glance, but technically its not gone too far....technically.

Obama is a public figure, and a political one at that, and, well, this kind of thing goes with the territory he chose to inhabit.

The only thing disparaging about this photo is that, perhaps, it shows that Obama might not be as quick as GWB, who was able to dodge, not one, but two shoes aimed at his head. I thought that incident was rather amusing.

Holy cow, are people really up at arms about a photo like that? Kids draw stuff more disturbing and mean than that in classmate's year books for crying out loud. That has got to be one of the most tame political photos I have seen regarding somebody's distaste for a man in a position of authority.

Don't go mocking the president now, he's black so if you make fun of him you must be a racist or a dissenter, either of which will get you thrown in prison soon enough.

How is it NOT wrong to put an image of what is rather obviously intended to be a double message on a news website, even one as kooky as WND? I'm not saying it should be removed, but I do think people should at least be angry about it. I'll fight to the death to defend people's rights to make such images, but I wouldn't come to your defense when people beat the **** out of you for it.

Just a tomato? That's just stupid, there's no chance in hell that whomever created the photo missed the resemblance to a bullet hole. It's just shy of advocating murdering the man.

I saw Bush photos with a Hitler mustache, but that is quite different. It had a specific message that Bush was eroding the individual freedoms, expanding government power, in a way similar to 1930s Germany. But a tomato on the face? What is that supposed to symbolize? Disfavor? Just in general?

Couldn't they be at least *slightly* relevant with the twist? Like, warp his image into an ATM machine with money coming out his mouth? Now THAT would be a good picture...

To mee it looks like someone who has been shot though the back of the skull with a high calibre rifle. not a tomato to the face.
